AnonD-189581, 23 Sep 2013Apple makes quality products The looks are eye catching I have had many different phones over the years, and the iphone5 and the new formate just released is great. Never had a problem with hardware or software. Either I am lucky, or just not expecting perfection.

The build quality of the two new Apple iPhones is lower than previous models, according to insurance company SquareTrade.
SquareTrade offers a gadget protection plan so it is jolly interested to know which phones it will have to pay out more to replace. Americans have spent over $6 billion on broken iPhones.
According to Phys.org, while smartphones have tended to improve in durability, the iPhone 5C and 5S are a step backwards and both received worse grades than the iPhone 5.
SquareTrade has put top-selling smartphones through a series of tests like dropping from five feet and submerging in water for 10 seconds.
Eight different factors are used to calculate the phone's durability like materials used for the front and back, weight and size.
The phones are scored from one to ten, with a higher score meaning the phone is more likely to break.
Last year, the iPhone 5 had a score of five, but this year, the iPhone 5S received a score of 5.5 and the iPhone 5C received a score of 6.
The worst phone for durability was the Samsung Galaxy S4, which got a score of 7, while the best scoring phone was the Google Moto X with a score of 4.5.
Ty Shay, chief marketing officer at SquareTrade had expected that at least one of the new iPhone models would up its game, but it was the Moto X that proved most forgiving of accidents.
It had been expected that the 5C would be less durable than the 5S because of its plastic case, but if you want an iPhone to last it is probably better that you hang onto the iPhone 5.

I also installed ios7 and it has been the same since rega... moreI reseted the iphone 5 as a new iphone put some useful apps which are required charged phone back to 100 % now after 7 hours 50 mins of stand by and 5 hours 15 mins of usage ..on 3g and these 5 hours 15 mins are continous screen usage or display usage and the battery us at 48 % .... is it gud battrry back up wat do u guys idnt knw much as i hav been iphone user only for a week .. plz reply

Why is my iPhone 5 stuck in demo mode?i used to download apps when it was on iOS 6.1.4 now when i updated to ios7 i cant even do that!and there is no restriction option on general and no locks??and when i take or save any photo it gets deleted after 12 or 14 hours and there is no reset options??

if u wants to improve yr battery backup pls stop back ground app refresh. in setting , general, that will surely improve the battery life in ios7 on iphone 5. so do it now.

Lots of bugs email accounts not properly syncing,no caller I'd on calls sometimes we can't get the option to reject the call ,albums doesn't have the option to move the photos to new folders camera roll always have copy unbearably increasing the punt of data .
Key board is very light coloured
Contacts with yahoo account not at all syncing
Dynamic wall papers is a mere waste
AirDrop has lots of bugs
Light background for photos is irritating
Only safari is bit improved
What's up take time to open App Store is laggy asuaual
So what are advantage of ios7.smooth nonsense ios is already a smooth is since beginning

I have used anroids even... moreIts not on the hardware but its on the software that would fit to the hardware iphones very compatible with minimum hardware such 1gb ram and 1.7 dual core prosessor (ip5s latest) unlike android the OS (Software) eats tremendous amount of ram and prosesses so much core speed so it nids minimum of 2gb ram and quad core 2.23ghz..
