Anonymous, 25 Jan 2013What I actually meant was some people come here and say "s3 has 1.5 GHz quadra core hahah... moreWell if you don't know the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a quad core processor and the iPhone 5 a dual core one.. so?Aslo, the iPhone 5 has 1,2 ghz and the Samsung Galaxy S3, 1,4 ghz so for me there's no difference..+ if I'm gonna buy, I'll buy the iPhone 5 because it has the same features, but it has an iOS6, so.. aslo I've got an iPhone 4 S, it's really good, but if you want more just buy the iPhone 5!
Hi. I have been using android phones for the past 2 yrs and an S3 user for the past 3 months. Bought the iPhone 5 couple of days back. The first that struck me was this is beautiful , both the hardware and the os. My S3 has a lot more features and it got updated to jelly bean yesterday. I have never felt the need the most of them ( at least for a business user like me ) the only thing that caught my attention is the smart stay but the irony is you have to help the device to stay smart most of the time by holding the phone close to you or stand against a bright source of light. With all the power of quad core , the S3 still hangs and stops for a second or so while opening an app or a picture after the jelly bean update. All this happens for everyday use and not while gaming. Finally I have started to understand iOS and its simplicity. It works flawless and is pleasing to look at. It comes at a high price tag but I guess it's worth it. My only worry is the home key as you are dependent on it everything you exit to home screen and I hope it lasts for a long time.
To angeliq: No mission here, I'm just giving you guys a taste of reality. No more argument please.
To sgnt: sorry for judging you too fast, you're a true good man.
And for the rest of all the readers: Please stop patronizing your phones whether its an android, or iphone, or nokia or blackberry. I tried all of them and they're all fine but there always will be pros and cons on each type of phones, just deal with it.
Have a nice day to all!!!
Ps: please don't remove this one last post from me. Thanks!
[deleted post]read his previous comment please! he said, he is an intellectual person (really..lol) but he not said the he is lack of education. :p
[deleted post]you are so borrrrrring if you not even actually use the product and gaving your precious comment for your self. What a pity... Next time if you bush something make it more reasonable...you troll!
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2013What I actually meant was some people come here and say "s3 has 1.5 GHz quadra core hahah... moreHave you used an S3 yourself to be able to determine if it is quicker or slower than the Iphone 5?
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2013Comparing specs for android vs iphone is meaningless .. its only used for similar OS, or phone... moreSo is comparing a Ferrari and a Toyota but people on this forum seem to do so anyway. And if that is the case then you cannot say that the Iphone is better than any of the android phones seeing as specs do not matter.
[deleted post]Please check your own english. There are a lot of mistakes in your post, And realise that your knowledge of english is better than your knowledge of phones. Can you speak france, dutch, chinese, spanish, or any of those languages? My mother tongue is not english, but I also try my best. So, get a life and rather polish your english and your knowledge of phones...
[deleted post]Comments are from all over the world and need to be in english. I don't know what the writer's nationality is, but he tried his best in english. This is a comment/review page, not an english forum. I understand what he's trying to say. Can you speak or write his language? Look at all phones, and you will see that they cater for a lot of languages in the world. Your critic and comment is uncalled for....
Paging through all comments, specs and reviews, my personal opinion comes to the following: Nokia was number one, but since moving to windows, all the software reliability is not there anymore. Only hardware. If you look at android phones, all software basically the same. So the choice is hardware...make, model, price etc etc. Apple is the only product in the market that is not dependent to someone else for software reliability, features etc. So, it's not so complicated anymore! The smartphone market and smartphones in particular, are controlled by the operating system. Android phones are dependent on what Google gives them, Nokia is dependent on Microsoft. That leaves me to a logic choice that Apple's combination is more acceptable. The specs, performances and looks are personal. But the os is the deciding point. All android phones are working with the same basic os. And windows need to prove itself. Master of os, belle/symbian, is not on the market in the near future. So, it leaves me with only one choice...iphone. Is the logic wrong?
Epic battle of phone opinion continues. Very entertaining (as a spectator's point of view). Keep it coming guys :)
[deleted post]the issues of the S3.
The Google and Samsung does not support any new updates after 1 year. So pretty much, the S3 becomes obsolete in terms of upgrades when a s4 comes out. Pretty much means, no updates will be available anymore when the s4 comes out. Which means, lower resell value. Apple on the other hand, allows the phones to be updated up to 3 years. So this make its a much better long term investment. So right now, yes, my ip4s is like the ip5, only because apple allowed it to be like that, even though the ip5 has superior performance over the ip4s, features are the same, once again, (because apple allows it).
Feel the ip5, feel the s3, one feels lika toy, one feels like a quality phone.
Breakable screen. Very very fragile screen.
Plastic build doesn't feel good.
Very broken, operating system. That has more to do with android itself, with its glitches. As to date, Android is very fragmented because everyone (HTC SONY, Motortolla) are all using android.
Random dropped calls.
Random phone reboots.
Random phone cycling.
Text messages sometimes not going through.
Extreme Battery Drain / Slow Charging
Bluetooth Is Basically Broken
Lockscreen Widgets / Camera App
Anonymous, 22 Jan 2013Been using this phone for a week now, so far battery drains so fast on average use. Performanc... moreliar! Im a iPhone 4S user and my pal IPhone 5. My iPhone 4S battery sucks compare to my friend IPhone 5. Loading a content and watching my 1080p video via AV player that i installed at the same time, texting, calling and even the notification is on is not bad. Both are good enough. I use my iphone 4s for almost a whole day and iphone 5 till another day (both heavy usage).
Given the negative feedback about the iphone5,and Samsungs market lead, is there anything on the horizon from Apple in the near future,ie iphone6?
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2013What I actually meant was some people come here and say "s3 has 1.5 GHz quadra core hahah... moreyup.
Samsung uses the "our specs are higher and price is lower on our products. buy it now." but the ip5 defeated the s3 in performance tests. This shows specs doesn't matter. by 2020 Samsung is also going to have a million core cpu, and a 30 mega pixel camera. who the hell cares about specs. Oh right, fandroids do.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2013What I actually meant was some people come here and say "s3 has 1.5 GHz quadra core hahah... morewhat kind of argument was that? have you just said that iphone is better just because it is better? you expect anyone to buy a cellphone based on that, i agree that just higher numbers don't mean a better phone, despite it must be highly considered, but user experience became less reliable since people start to think that Iphone(ios) and galaxy(android) are soccer teams(i'm brasilian), and cheering has no relation with the real performance of the team or the cellphone.
