But no, it’... moreThe reason why you think that "it just works" is because it hardly does anything. As for Android, there are literally hundreds of devices that adopt it ( as opposed to only a very few, all Apple devices that use iOs ). If you install many apps on iOs you'll start to notice that it isn't as fluid as you first thought. Likewise, a light to medium use of Android can go smoothly ( depending on what device you use ). With higher end devices you might even get a smooth operation even with heavy use. I'm not one of the "fandroids" that are mentioned here; before I started using an android device, I was using iOs. the more I used it however, the more underwhelmed I became. even the most basic things were missing -- the user interface was messy; anything I installed was simply thrown on the main screen. You could arrange the app icons' positions, but that was it. You can't group certain apps together for convenience's sake. An even bigger problem is that you can't download files from the internet ( let alone use them ). Even the most basic files ( unless they're media files utilised by iOs ), have restrictions placed upon them by iOs. When I switched to Android however, all of these problems have gone -- whether it's the lack of organisational capabilities or the lack of usability, and I've never regretted the switch. It made me wonder why Apple products enjoyed such popularity. It seems this popularity is more dependant on name and fandom rather than practicality and quality.

Can't they just let ip5 users enjoy their phone? We don't bug them. I agree with you too. s3 is soo overrated.
When you FIRST hear about the S3, you hear its soooo good. But after a while you start to hear many problems with it.

I take stablity, reliability over crashing, reboots, uknown errors, and unfixed giltches, customization any day. android is the worst os out there, and they are damn lucky windows didn't come out the same time they did.

also cut into EVERYONES sales, (whoever sold mini tablets)
When the S3 came out in May, during the same time to the time ip5 was released, the Iphone4s sold almost as much phones as the s3 did. The iphone5 is the fastest selling phone in history, and this phone is still not released in every country yet. Far from dying. It is a competition, oh btw, did you hear? Asians galaxy s3's is not compatible with jelly bean 2. lol!!! it causes the entire phone to crash and die. lol! Suck on that Fandroid!

This is a great site. Only wish the comment sections weren't filled so much with unreasonable people. Even the GSMArena writers themselves came down and told the fanboys how unreasonable they were a while back.

Iphone5 is basically Closed system phone
and Android Phone is Open System phone and lot of customization. that is why Samsung Galaxy S3 is on the top with superb features Screen & Processor.
i wish Iphone5 had 4.5 inch screen. and little bit more customization.
Then today iphone5 would be No.1 in popularity aswell.. but unfortunately it is flopped.
And Apple Company also lost 100 Billion USD worth in Stock Market because of Samsung Galaxy S3.

AnonD-70148, 21 Nov 2012Iph5 popularity is going down,, not up....I said popularity of iPhone is climbing at GSMArena. Every new model lasts longer and longer in the Top 10. iPhone 4S was out of Top 10 way earlier compared to iPhone 5.
This means, more people are now coming to GSMArena than before for iPhone related information.
