He is unfortunately misguided in that he believes that his view represents everybody's view.
This is a common condition, mainly amongst teenagers, but usually they grow out of it with social interaction. Unfortunately the Internet has led to many living secluded lives with minimal interaction, and gave rise to a "me! Me! Me" syndrome as displayed by many Android fanboys who are now adults.

So a Corolla owner is smart for saying to a Porsche driver "Dual chair? I got quad-chair baby!"
This is how you are blind and do not see. Yes, if the feature is something he wants, but he gives it up just to be with Apple, then your point is valid. The truth is however, 200 million users are very happy (top satisfaction ratings higher than Android), yet you guys are still scratching your heads, cos you don't get this simple fact.

Also despite the same old argu... moreYou know if people buy an Apple product and say yeah I like the iPhone but I'm fully aware that Apple deliberately leaves out features that could seriously make the phone better but doesn't include because they make more money by restricting features then I can totally respect someone who says that.
But most of the people who visit the iPhone forums like you just keep saying Apple sells a lot and refuses to say they wish Apple just added something new because just don't want to admit Apple's faults.

If you go back in time, you will find that the REASON people hated Apple fans was their fanboy loyalty, and cult like mentality where they couldn't even think of using non-Apple products.
Funny how today, Apple fans are simply fans of good tech as can openly discuss using other stuff like WP8 and web Android.
The Android fanboys however have evolved to be the very brainwashed that they insult lol.
Open your mind guys, free yourself from your cage. There is a world beyond your precious Android, as well as your tiny bedroom lol.

Unlike before, people are now very familiar with iPhone and know exactly what they are buying, so despite all Android fanboy protestations, there must still be something about iPhone that people like.
Lol Android fanboys simply cannot accept this, as they live in a world where everything must be measured according to their terms. Just because a Nissan GTR is simply faster, there are still reasons people would go for an Audi R8, or a Ferrari.
I am not comparing those cars to iPhones or Android phones, but it demonstrates that people are simply different. Let me ask you whether your PC is now simply the fastest chip, with the greatest video card, and with liquid cooling system plus RAID storage system? Lol it would be a small percentage.
It isn't all about specs specs specs, it is about a COMBINATION of factors, and unlike other vendors, Apple is excellent at that game.

Majority of ... moreI know deep down most people with an iPhone reach that wall Apple keeps building which holds back features and capabilities and gets a bit jealous of what other phones can do like bigger screens, bigger memory, unlimited customisation etc.
But those people are so determined to be with Apple so there's no need to ever think when using a phone that they just unwilling to compromise and go for an Android or WP phone that can do more than they'll ever need because it's slightly harder to use and the badge isn't seen as cool as Apple.

If th... moreOn it's own the iPhone 5 is a reasonable enough phone but it gets low votes because compared to 4S it just has a bit more power and a tiny bit more screen, and the way most people use it it barely feels like it's improved at all, so people give it low scores because Apple just didn't bother to give people anything new while top end Androids and Windows phones have stepped up into the next generation of phones.

iPhone 5 takes the first slot for a few weeks only since its launch then goes down so rapidly.

i think the comment here is not for attacking each others. If you like Iphone pls use it and if you like Samsung pls use it. No need to criticize those phone because the maker didnt complaint too much why you guys complaining from the 1st?

Why are the GSMARENA voting scores so low for the iPhone 5 as compared to the iPhone 4S? If the voting tallies are not an accurate reflection of a product (or nearly so), then isn't it a bit misleading. I mean, the iPhone 5, although not perfect, is not a 6.5-6.7; or is it really that bad?

You must convert them to an iphone friendly format first. You can find programs to do that on the Internet. Or better yet, go android. :D

[deleted post]first off no one here is attacking android. You guys are attacking us. Samsung has always developed their phones based on specs. Quality of the phone is crap. I got people regretting the getting the S3. While your at it, suck on this.

I got friends using the ip5, and they love it to death. I cannot say the same about my friends who own the s3. Most of them "like it" or "its not bad" some complaints too. Ip5, no complaints. Complaints are all online, random people like you who hate apple.

Let's face it. Phones these days are no longer used only for calling and texting. Majority of its use is web browsing and gaming. Having at tiny screen is uncomfortable to the eyes if used for long periods. So, Android phones with big screen has a clear advantage.

no NFC, DLNA, Card slot, Radio, Wi-Fi Direct. The cpu is just Dual-core 1.2 GHz (like my 2 year old phone) and the rest is just like any new phone on the market. What exactly are apple selling??

iphone has to much restrictions cant bluetooth and cant take a sim card its crap seriously android or more specificly the s3 is a way better phone bigger processor much better display quality and just kicks iphones 5 ass . its no different than the 4s apart from the os and the size cumon it has a 1.2 dualcore processor which was the basis of the s2 iphone users switch to android asap cos u aint gettint the real smartphone experience!!!!
