[deleted post]And iPhone copied its PHONE functionality from all phones that came before it!
iPhone 3GS fan, 22 Oct 2012How dare you call my iPhone 3GS plastic!?!!You have to believe it. It's PLASTIC! Here's a quote from wikipedia:
The back of the original iPhone was made of aluminum with a black plastic accent. The iPhone 3G and 3GS feature a full plastic back to increase the strength of the GSM signal.
Now, shall you still DENY it?

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2012the real truth between ios and android. apple haters will not mention to a friend to avoid the... moreI've had all the apple iphones except iphone 3S and all I can say is the iphone 5...is no different besides it being slightly bigger than iphone 4S. I am really considering going to android for the next big phone release. I was really disappointed that I paid 1k for the 64gb version only to find that there was really nothing new and if anything even worse e.g. purple flare on camera (Apple told me its suppose to do this...just capture photos without being in the sunlight *WTF?!?*) or the ios 6 maps..(even worse than the first generation GPS that was released ages ago). All I have to show for a 1k phone that is almost $300 more than a S3 is that it's slightly longer with "newer" features that android got 1-2 years ago and slightly better app games...that I hardly use.
Seriously...just because you say everything and add "Source : this is not made up, this is straight from a friend who works at a programming company that makes apps"..really doesn't strengthen your argument at all. There's no actual proof this friend actually exists nor does it have any credibility.
SD card is a useful feature regardless whether you can run apps on it. My friend uses the SD card hold photos and videos on it AND also back up her contacts list so when she got a newer phone (galaxy nexus), she could just restore everything without having to connect to a computer...install driver...program....etc.
IOS update....I don't really justify an extra $300 for some updates and who's to say that android only gets 1 update? my friend with an S3 has gotten 3 updates so far and then plus the jelly bean.
In the end, the best phone so far that was released from Apple was iPhone 4S. why? It's different from the 3S by a lot. What's different from the 4S and the 5? It's longer with crappier features. I believe that since Steve jobs passed away, all apple could do is sue sue sue and then release the same type of phone at a higher price. I believe they can do much better than this. Depending on what their next phone is, I'll decide if I want to continue with apple or not.
No one disputes that Android has a ton of features, but the denial that its based on iOS is pathetic. I'm an Apple fan, and I for example know that Mac OS originally was inspired by Xerox's GUI.
Android fans are in denial. The new brainwashed generation.

iPhone has same old boring UI full of rows of icons and nothing else. As a GS3 fan, the only thing I like about the iPhone is its high price. I'm with AT&T so I upgraded my line and got brand new iPhone and sold it on ebay for $1000. I then turned around and got me a brand spanking new QUAD-CORE GS3 for only $575. I still have close to $200 left after taking out the cost of the iPhone which was $218 after taxes.
Long live the iPhone!

But they’d be so much better if Apple supported them and allowed developers to create them for their apps

I mean comparing IOS to Android is like comparing a flat painting(IOS) to a 3D sculpture(Android)
Because basically IOS is just a highly polished version of the OS they were doing 6 years ago and Android is constantly adding extra layers and those extra layers and capabilities are what makes Android buggier and it's truly amazing it's Apr smooth as it is with all the things it does, but IOS is so smooth because Apple never try much new and just keep polishing the same thing over and over which is easy to do.

iSJ5, 23 Oct 2012I don't quite understand when people say iOS doesn't have "real" multitasking On bot... moreWidgets are the kind of Multitasking that matters most to the average person because you can have dozens of Apps all running simultaneously in the foreground and gives Android all those extra layers that really do make a difference.
And I can guarantee if Apple ever bothers to gives IOS widgets and finally brings IOS into this decade people will be truly amazed by how much better IOS is.
But like I've said before Apple is more interested in looking good than actually being good, and IOS will start off being seriously buggy to begin with if they add Widgets, and I can never see Apple doing that if the average Apple customer just blindly keeps buying whatever has the Apple logo on next.
[deleted post]I don't quite understand when people say iOS doesn't have "real" multitasking On both iOS & Android third party apps freeze in the background. They both allow certain "services" to continue to run. On iOS Apple dictates what these are. On Android, Google also dictates what these are. However the developer can create their own "services" and allow them to run in the background. So you gain some functionality on Android, at the expense of battery life and performance. Neither do "true" multitasking. Real world, theres more to it.
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2012the real truth between ios and android. apple haters will not mention to a friend to avoid the... moreYour statement is not impressive, keep in mind that ios is realy boring, yes when it comes to application quality it is superior than android but android has more capabilities than the ios thats why more and more people in the world are looking forward to android
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2012the real truth between ios and android. apple haters will not mention to a friend to avoid the... moreApple could very easily made it so only music, videos & images can be stored on external memory or even make a proprietary high-speed external card that only works in iPhone and would be fast enough for installing Apps on, and people use phones now for all their music and media and since it records video in 1080p you can get very little on the 16gb version.
So no matter what Apple propaganda you hear about why Apple doesn't include certain features it is almost always about simply making more money from customers by restricting features and giving you no choice but to buy a whole new phone when you end up short on memory because after getting a Smartphone people inevitably want to do more things with it.
Terrier, 22 Oct 2012I know for a fact that any iPhone owner capable of being honest does like the idea of Widgets ... morenot at all... don't think everybody's thinking alike... i remember a friend almost always accidently rejected his call sending a msg from his Samsung phone while taking it out of pocket, because of its stupidly sensitive and misplaced UI...
Widgets too are ok only with few of them if you just too lazy to tap just one more time to actually reach the app in menu...plus with more of them it just ends up as another menu... i am a Samsung user and if you can track down my internet provider with my imei then would know which model i use, but still i rarely use widgets apart from certain like msg, camera, and weather, that's all...
and btw what are u - pampering the company (android) that its too difficult to code multitasking and all...!!
dude we care for end results don't we?? unless we get paid for the technical jargon... multitasking should be there but as of now given the ironic battery with almost every smart phone, its too stupid to use it casually that way...the only thing is that we can just show off - my phone has this that and your phone doesn't... where's the point in actual usage, unless we scumb to use almost anything any company gives, even if that was useless to us or just say could be achieved by another method...
Terrier, 22 Oct 2012It actually is possible to turn a lot of Androids into a Pc running Linux with wired Keyboard ... moreMan android sucks in working properly even on mobile screen single handedly... why would you want to join all the accessories with it... what would it make u knw?? your s3 will be slower than intel p4...
