[deleted post]iPhone uses a system where the two previous generations become the midrange and low range phones. Currently, that means that the iPhone 5 is the flagship, the iPhone 4S is the midrange, and the iPhone 4 is the low end.
All are still on sale by Apple, and all still run the very latest iOS 6, unlike Android which for some unfathomable reason, ship generally with an OS one generation behind.
I do understand though, that it isn't ideal sometimes the way Apple does things, thankfully WP8 will arrive soon and show Android how to properly do affordable phones. Lower price yet with instant OS updates and proper security.

Go check the voting results here at GSM arena.Lol Apple haters openly declare that they downvote this phone every day, and suddenly you expect me to be guided by it? SGS3 must be super inferior to even HTC/Sony/Nokia Lumia phones then, it's averaging 7 these days. Do you agree with that?

And people buy local brands like cherry mobile, torque,starmobile ( which either use android or chinese OS similar to those used in imitations )etc. We call them china phones, most people here also buy surplus phones (2nd hand), and a big chunk of users still use featurephones. ( telecom companies estimates) . Heck, you can buy android for only $ 50.00. . .
youre right asha is not a smartphone. but people here sport it as a smartphone. . people dont even know how to use their phones.
