"On the negative side, the iPhone 5 screen is only 4 inches big, and not only this, but only height was added, which, for instance, would bring no real benefit in most games and would help web browsing only in landscape mode. The camera is mostly the same as on the 4S, and LTE connectivity in Europe is still as scarce as water in the Sahara to be really worth it. Finally, the new sleeker connectivity jack renders all previous docking accessories obsolete and yet, provides no intercompatibility with the all-reigning microUSB. Not to mention the new nano SIM card, which would be a major pain in the butt, if you’ve got an unlocked iPhone and you’d like to swap SIMs frequently.
Honestly, I’m already tired of hearing Apple’s stale remarks how the new iPhone or the new iPod was Apple’s best thing so far. What I wanted to see today on stage was pure innovation, something that would again open new doors and make other manufacturers lose their breath in trying to catch up.
Instead, what I got was a predictable phone with unexciting specs; a phone that I would hardly call cutting edge, top-of-the-line, and all those labels that usually go hand in hand with Apple’s latest. After all, the iPhone has always been the most expensive SIM-free smartphone on the market.
Sure, people will probably continue to buy it in millions, since once it’s out, it would be the most sensible buy, if you are after an iPhone. But I still have that bad taste in my mouth. The iPhone 5 failed to meet my expectations. I didn’t have a feature wishlist, except perhaps a seriously bigger screen. But most of all, I expected to be surprised. Well, none of these two things happened. And I wonder, who’s to blame? Is it me, or is it Apple that’s changing into a conservative phone maker, who likes to play it safe like Nokia used to, before it became clear it’s not getting them anywhere.
I’m more than sure that somebody in South Korea is having a big party right now. More than anything, it feels like this year’s iPhone is Apple skipping a turn a second year in a row all the while Android and Windows Phones have been seriously upping their game"....

While Apple's shipping estimates on iPhone 5 pre-orders quickly slipped to two weeks just an hour after the online store reopened earlier, the company's U.S. carrier partners have seen their supplies holding up a bit better with continued estimates of delivery on launch day on September 21.
That appears to be changing now, as Verizon is the first of the three major U.S. carriers to see its shipping estimates slip with new pre-orders now estimated to arrive on September 26.

Best phone ever as usual.....what frustration for Android users......
I'm sure it will arrive a time that when you search in all the dictionary a synonym for the word phone you will find iPhone.....

Buy iphone 4s and sell it to i-fans. Say that is iphone 5. They will believe it anyway as long there is apple logo on the back. No wonder apple sue samsung, grocery store, cafe just because apple say the logo looks like apple and bla bla bla. Iphone 5 is the proof that apple to busy sue other companies. Even the picture leaked almost few months ago. I think iphone 5 just like editing old iphone 4s picture and resize it. Make it look thinner & longer, give upgrade to hardware, replace the camera position & change the glass cover to almunium because if the phone fall we can't see spider web on our phone & of course apple knew that iphone 5 can't win to fight with the others so they change the port. So people need to buy new port + the phone it self. This is how apple doing their works now. I believe in 6 months - 1 year later apple will showing us new iphone 5s which is just another upgrade from iphone 5 and so on till apple broke and realize. Better look forward and prepare than to look back and regret. I hope apple understand what i said. No offense to the i-fans cause they are a loyal customer even inside their mind & their heart knew that iphone 5 is a fail phone but some of them still buying this silly product which another $300 phone can do the same or even better. He should have bought some Apple shares when I told him and made lots of money,
but I guess he prefers to suffer.

Its a pretty device with no huge diference from the previous model, Apple should be more agressive towards the actual market and reinforce its stamp of innovators.
But no... actually they lauched a phone inferior do Samsung I9300, so my question is.. Apple where is the juice?

AnonD-21659, 14 Sep 2012Obviously no.Also there is no built in you tube app.How ridiculus.You can watch youtube in a browser, works fine, if not better than dedicated app. There is no support for flash on mobile phones anymore, so you won't find it in latest devices, sry.

Mr.Alien, 14 Sep 2012Does iPhone5 support flash player?Apple tried to convince anyone gullible enough 5 years ago that there was no need for a Flash browser even though almost every site used Adobe Flash which made the iPhone browser horribly limited, and it's only now enough sites use HTML5 to make it useable, but there's still hundreds of thousands of sites using Flash and only reason Apple won't include it is it costs them money to buy license to use flash and they'd rather build up their bank balance than give people a better OS.
