in, 21 Jun 2016Just bought iPhone 6s last weekend and I'm quite disappointed with the battery life. Last nigh... moreGood morning my friend. You must calibrate the battery, so:
1- Drain the battery till 20%, not below 20 and then make a full charge till 100%.
2- When you got 100% leave it for 4-5 hours more to the power (because it's a new device otherwise it shouldnt be needed).
3- Repeat one more time the steps 1&2 and you're ok
4- Now for the next ordinary charges try not to go under 40% and charge IN ONE GO from 40 to 80 more or less. This is the ideal intervall for the battery for every day charge&usage.
5- Once a month or every 3 weeks follow only the step 1.
The battery is fully calibrated after a couple of months. Its intuitive you switch off location, wifi, internet connection, background refressing apps, open apps (altough has been recently disagreement for this), email push (this is very sneezy and tricky), facebook etc...Do not charge with ''battery saving '' option activate or similar tricks (airplane mode etc...). Smartphones, as humans, need to get rest sometimes so when you really dont need it switch it off for a couple of hours.

Now I would like to highlight a few important issues
1. I have used around 5 iPhones in my lifetime...... Right from iPhone 3GS till iPhone 6s
2. I have noted one important aspect in Apple distribution... All the phones were not at par in all aspects.... Meaning every phone had some issue which would not bother me much...
3. iPhone 3GS which I bought on two occasions drained battery very fast one one handset while had a bad camera on the other and so on
4. These things happened till I got my iPhone 6s 64gb recently... This phone seems to be perfect so far with no flaws.
I would like to point out one thing that apple encourages selling refurbished phones in India... I have experienced this in my life. I have a friend of mine who got his phone replaced by the device Center on warranty and to his surprise the new phone had a bad camera..
Apple products are the best ever in the market, but their policy of selling refurbished handsets in India won't help them improve their sales..
However, I have actually noted the differences in handsets when they have been bought from Dubai and elsewhere..
Kindly note that I had always bought authentic Apple handsets with Apple warranty on all occasions but there was definitely distinct difference between the same models of handsets.
This is absolutely my personal view not criticising any company or dealer.

Just bought iPhone 6s last weekend and I'm quite disappointed with the battery life. Last night the phone is fully charged. Haven't touched/used the phone until 4pm today and the battery is only at 74% with no open apps and wifi turned off. Is this normal or is it just my unit not working properly?

Last thing remains is a chance of tempering as highlighted by you, however, this can very easily be checked from any iphone authorized repair center. Another good idea is to show your phone to any other 6s use around you who would very easily check if your phone is behaving differently.
