.I am updating my iP7 128GB from 10.1.1 to the latest IOS version I could possibly get. Then I will also share my observation afterwards (base on my same usage patterns). my iPhone unit is almost 1 month since purchased.
Seltsa08, 20 Jan 2018After the iOS 11.2.2 update, I have realized that battery drains a lil faster than previous iO... moreYeah, same here. Try to refresh press volume diwn and power at the same time till apple logo appears. I think it helps
After the iOS 11.2.2 update, I have realized that battery drains a lil faster than previous iOS iterations.any one noticed this?
Does syncing apps such as Photos or Notes from a Macbook to an iPhone use battery life on the latter that much or not so much?
My ip7 was working perfect from day 1 but now after the last 2 updates the phone is slower, regarding benchmarks and in everyday usage I can just see it stutter sometimes.
The second thing is the battery drains much faster than beffore. Instead of 25% at the end of the day at midnight it is empty at 5-6 o clock depending of the usage.
Tim cook deeply apologize for slowing down the older iPhone to prevent shutting down unexpectedly. ThatÂ’s a stupid statement. Why now? They release the updates from 5s to iPhone x at the same time, now, only older iPhone is affected? Commom Tim Cook, youÂ’re making a fool or somebody else is cooking IPhone? Or maybe, just maybe, youÂ’re trying to discredit Apple product and youÂ’re planning to form a new company of your own to compete Apple. If the reason is because of old battery will shut iPhone down unexpectedly, then thatÂ’s the problem of the users to maintain or replace the battery. ItÂ’s unfair to those using older iPhone with good battery to be affected by your iOS update. Previous update, only old and degraded battery are affected but not the older iPhone performance. Tim Cook is really cooking!!!!!!
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2018I meant suck battery but I made a boo boo on typing Yeah, itÂ’s true. Mostly from android phone.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2018Why do all phones suck at those categories? I didn‘t get thisI meant suck battery but I made a boo boo on typing
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2018The truth is all smartphones suck when you use them for what they were meant for, gaming, came... moreIm still sticking on iPhone, all of us are using iPhone. IÂ’m done with the android, after a year used, encountered hanging (if updated), performance tend to slow down immediately (loaded with many apps), unusual battery performance. ItÂ’s been almost 2 years I donÂ’t buy android phone. Maybe they improved a lot. For now, I still stick to iPhone product and their iOS Example of the 5s, itÂ’s been almost 5 years since they introduced this phone, and yet the performance is still there. (Never heard of hanging problem in their forum)
The truth is all smartphones suck when you use them for what they were meant for, gaming, camera, net, social media, music, etc
A phone is a phone and which ever you buy there will always be pros and cons.
my galaxy s2,s3,s4,s5,s7 all did a great job at being user friendly and customisable but my apple even though it isn't , still is a solid fun device to use, great camera (used correctly) , great gaming, net, etc
I still mamage about 5hours 30mins when hammering my phone but if I just use it for email, odd net search, a few texts and pics I manage up 7 hours and also at max about 8hours 40mins, on screen battery usage
some of my galaxy phones use to drink battery so fast you could drain it within 3 hours max, I still loved the phone regardless.
And as for bugs, well every smartphone seems to have the odd little bug/glitch somewhere, again I enjoy my devices regardless and I don't stick to the same brand or OS for more than 2 generations so I'm looking at another android in september/october :-) pixel3 maybe or whatever oneplus are doing, both brands I've never tried
Mayukh101, 12 Jan 2018How is the software stability and battery life? Not good in terms of battery life. Before I can use it till night around 10pm for next charging. (30% to 25% left) Now will last till 8pm at 20% left. IÂ’m waiting for the next release update. ItÂ’s better to stay on 11.2.1 than this 11.2.2. Also noticed a longer charging time. 11.2.1 is faster charging time.
nEATSFOOT, 10 Jan 2018Apple has fallen way behind . . . https://tinyurl.com/ycu9ezh3 This is link to apple iphon... moreYour comment just proves that you are a fanboy, arguing with things nobody cares about or are already there on iOS (long press on keyboard reveals more characters, swype can be installed). Furthermore, your comment is a pain to read because of your subterranean spelling. Please stop acting like knowing stuff about phones if you just don't.
MrEvil, 12 Jan 2018HD screen omg?? hahhaha neveeerthis is above HD. And on 4.7 in, who cares?
Mayukh101, 12 Jan 2018How is the software stability and battery life?I updated mine to 11.2.2. In my observation, battery drain faster than previous iOS (10% difference) but better performance than previous.
IÂ’m still very happy with my iPhone 7 even though itÂ’s a glossy one, never had a problem with this iPhone 7 or my previous iPhone 7, I gave one way before IÂ’m asked why I got a second one :-)
I love android and apple but prefer apple for its tighter eco system.
Battery lasts between 5hrs 30mins up to approx 8 hrs on screen, depending obviously on usage but I do app unnecessary apps to a minimum, ie I use Facebook browser version instead of the app, I use web versions of twitter and blood nhs, etc
I donÂ’t play games as they are just plain boring these days , I take pics using adobe lightroom in raw, and use stock camera as well and edit in snapseed, thatÂ’s about it, oh and I use microsoft word and sheets along with google drive and maps , never had a problem apart from once I noticed the calculator was slow in the transition of key presses meaning if you typed too quickly the calculator wouldnÂ’t keep up and the results were incorrect
