I just got a slightly used iphone 8 as I wanted to a phone within 200$.
For 170$ this phone is a steal. It still rums smooth, have truetone etc. In comparison to 2020 se I didnt found and speed differences and we all know apple is still producing this body design in 2022.

I don't know of any other phone that is this good at that price. Just might need the battery to be replaced, but when that happens it will be good as new. Seriously, in 2022 you don't need to fork out lots of cash to get a good phone. (P.S. I also will always love the home button design)
Just bougth one couple days ago for 210e. 256 GB, new battery and almost mint condition. I also have Realme 8 but I need a small phone to be easy on the pocket. Performance is ok, battery life is one full day with moderate use of IG, Viber, Wa, Telegram, Gmail and Youtube. Love it. Would probably switch to SE 2022 in the end of the year.
Except it's beating all the competition with just 6GB of RAM. Stop obsesing over meaningless big numbers just because they are big. iOS is super optimized to work with iphone's hardware and it shows. Apple's chipsets have less cores yet they beat all the ones in Android phones, it has less RAM yet still manages to run everything smoothly, has smallest batteries yet pulls one of longest battery endurance times. It's not in "this number is bigger than that one". There are things beyond just those numbers that matter and Apple is exceptional showcase of that. But people here on GSMArena more often than not just look at how big the specs numbers are, they look at the price and declare iPhones "weak and overpriced". Yet they are anything but that. They are hyper optimized and squeeze insane performance out of lower specs on paper and manage to beat most Android flagships with ease and retain that title often for one whole generation ahead of the rest.
Bezzzles, 11 Feb 2022It's a good phone, but it's starting to show it's age very quickly. 2GB of RAM ... moreiPhones don't need a lot of ram

It's a good phone, but it's starting to show it's age very quickly. 2GB of RAM in 2021/2 is a joke no matter what brand or phone...
It's indeed (even nowadays) a great device. I've been using a Xiaomi Mi 10T for one year, the size is simply too big, that's why I decided to rollback to an iPhone 8, till I get a newer iPhone. I got the iPhone yesterday for 30€ with 79% battery life, even that's holding up well when you compare it to today's standards. For those who don't care about heavier tasks like gaming (it's possible but I'm not playing games), I'd still recommend the iPhone 8, mostly if you are on a low budget.
been using this for more than 3 years and still loving it. But I planned to trade it with the upcoming iPhone SE 3.
