Why? It has more screen area than the taller iPhone X screen. Also, LCD screens don't suffer from burn-ins.
Battery life is better.
There's a nice Gold finish for the 8 Plus.
It has the same processor as the 8 and the 10.
Has the old good Touch ID.. but Face ID has two major advantages, especially in day-to-day usage:
- Nobody can unlock it while you're sleeping and you know that's not the case with the iPhone 8 Plus as anyone can grab your thumb and unlock it
- Is more secure than Touch ID
Also, it's still fast and swiping up just gets you used to the interface.
Really don't know which one now, if you're looking for a better camera (dual OIS), taller OLED display, stainless steel frame instead of aluminum, Face ID and a gesture-based UI, go for the 10.
And if you'd like to stick to the old good UI, Touch ID, getting an almost as great camera as the 10, a nice Gold color, LCD wider display with same brightness as the OLED one and a better battery (the LCD uses less battery while displaying whites and the iOS has a white interface ), then 8 Plus it is!
Sorry for making this so long xD I was bored in class
Planning on iphone either 8plus or X. I prefer larger and wider displays. X has a larger display but looks like the its less wider. Any suggestions which one to go for. iPhone 8plus or iphone X???

ios 11.2 releases but NO fix for Battery draining issue.
The whole is centric for 8, 8+ & X.
That bezelless craze and Samsung fanboys saying iPhones have a 2014 design are the most retarded people ever
Without bezels, it's impossible to hold your phone firmly, especially while laying or walking.
Apple did a great job improving something that's already awesome.

My moderator to heavy use almost Delivers me 2 days before I need to charge. So not too bad. I think IOS 11 needs polishing (though it is smooth) and is still not as efficient as IOS 10.3.3 but that was expected. Hopefully Apple will iron out issues in few months time.

And how is USER INTERFACE?
When would Apple release update for iOS in order to address and solve Battery draining issue?
ThereÂ’s a UI lag also exists.

Kumar, 19 Nov 2017Now proven!
It has been proved that the culprit is ios 11 and later till date.
As per Appl... moreWhat issue(s) are you having with your lovely iPhone 8 Plus? The iPhone 8 Plus — as well as the iPhone 8 and iPhone X — were designed and made to run iOS 11, so running iOS 11 on the three new iPhones should be a breeze — literally.
My grandma has an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 11.1.2, and her iPhone has no slow-downs, lag or stutter or anything like that. Apple truly does a wonderful job with not slowing down older iPhones anymore like they used to. The iPhone 5S can even run iOS 11 perfectly fine, albeit the iPhone 5S is a little slow.

As a matter of fact, the A11 Bionic outperforms every single process on the planet. The A11 is actually faster and more powerful than a lot of the desktop processors PC makers use! Apple even admits that the A11 in the three new iPhones are on par, or faster and more powerful than some of their MacBook Pro laptops!
It is safe to say, that the iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone X will never slow down after many iOS updates and new apps and software. The A11 is definitely future proof for at least six years at minimum.
Anonymous, 22 Nov 2017If it is iph 8 then off the true tone display They are correct: you are experiencing AppleÂ’s new screen feature for the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus called True Tone. Only those three iPhones have this feature believe it or not. It is a very good and interesting feature, and works really well.
When I was reading some reviews about the iPhone 8 Plus before I decided to purchase one, I thought that True Tone was basically the same as Night Shift, but it is not — it is something totally different, and should always be enabled. It makes the screen change color temperatures based on the lightening around you making the screen easier to read in any kind of light; very comfortable for your eyes, and great to relieve eye-strain and stress.
