The Guest, 18 Sep 2017What??? Battery is lower than iphone 7? iphone 8 Plus: 2650 mAh iphone 7 Plus: 2900 mAh... moreThat's coz the chip is 10 nm and not 16 nm like on the iPhone 7 plus, so it uses way lesser battery compared to the iPhone 7 plus.
All specs are very very good except #Battery. Worse Battery Capacity.
What??? Battery is lower than iphone 7?
iphone 8 Plus: 2650 mAh
iphone 7 Plus: 2900 mAh
then again iphone 8 specs are more power hungry because of upgraded cpu. therefore why in the world they've lessen the battery output?
AnonD-284725, 17 Sep 2017So at this point of time, if you were upgrading from the 5s, would you buy a 128 GB 7 plus or ... moreYou could also consider the 6s Plus because the difference between 6s and 7 is not that big, but between 7 and 8 it is even smaller.
The 7 has waterproofing and dual camera with optical zoom, it is a moderate upgrade in terms of speed (compared to 6s)
the 8 has 4K@60fps, it is a small upgrade in terms of speed (if you don't do video editing which uses all cores, because multi core performance improved heavily, but it isn't as important as single core) (compared to 7)
wireless charging is a gimmick
If you use your phone without a case, the 7 will be more durable
If you need a headphone jack, the 6s is a great, valuable alternative
If you are frightened to drop your phone into water, go with the 7
If you are looking for the best value, the 6s is the king
If you film really much with your phone (20 sec a week is not that much, but I just wanted to point out one advantage), wait until prices drop shortly and after christmas, then buy the 8.
Anonymous, 17 Sep 2017Please tell em where will you use 1024Mbps internet speed on your phone ..
And the new chip ... moreThey say
performance cores 25% faster
power saving cores 70% faster (matching big cores of Exynos 8895 and SD 835)
all cores can be used at once (iPhone 7 could only use 2 at once)
GPU 30% faster (now their own, with 3 cores instead of 12)
And the faster modem will make it more future proof, just like LTE on the iPhone 5 did.
Just here you can see how iPhones are built to last, the processor is faster to handle future iOS versions and have longer support than iPhone 7.
Luxor, 17 Sep 2017So, what did Apple fans were saying about fragile glass back again? Hehehe. Looking at this ip... moreI loved glass backs since iPhone 4. Aluminum was more durable for people who use it without a case, but those having a case on their phone will appreciate it because the dust between case and phone makes scratches into the phone, and the harder glass will suffer less from that than the soft aluminum. This pissed me of about the iPhone 5 when I used it with a cheap eBay case. There were so many little dents. With the iPhone 7, I went with an original Apple case and luckily, the only thing having that problem is the apple logo when held in direct light (there it has many many little dots on it), but if you take the direct light source away (used flashlight for this), it looks normal and with iPhone 8, it would look even better.
Anonymous, 14 Sep 20175.5" 720p screen for that price? No thanks/Actually it's 1080
Equalizer , 15 Sep 2017Same old Shit and people are so dumb..getting happy for this this is absolutely same as ipho... moreYeah u are right like wireless charging upgrades to the dual cameras and much much more do some background checks.
So, what did Apple fans were saying about fragile glass back again? Hehehe. Looking at this iphone 8 plus remind me how Samsung goes from S5 to S6. A lot of things goes missing.
Dano, 13 Sep 2017No not the same , the 8+ has a double speed of internet than the 7+
7 plus has 450 Mbps but... morePlease tell em where will you use 1024Mbps internet speed on your phone ..
And the new chip is not much improvement they state the speed will increase by 30% but it's much less than that
Smaller battery, 202 g weight and a huge body that can easily house a 6" display is the new feature in iPhone 8 Plus!!! Great Job!
So at this point of time, if you were upgrading from the 5s, would you buy a 128 GB 7 plus or the 64GB 8 plus with the 8 plus being 100$ more expensive. I am curious to know how much of a difference does memory make considering you have 4K video recording ( not that I am an avid videographer or something, but I like to record videos probably once a week for like 20 seconds to a minute max).
I also think that the glass back is cool but that makes it less durable and prone to breaking ( I would, in either case, put a cover for phone just to keep it damage free)
Please help me clear my mind.
Any suggestions guys? Thank you.
