I was told iPhones aren’t designed to be fast charged. When I started charging my old iPhone at 2.4A rather than 1A I noticed that the battery health dropped fast.
Battery life is fine for me, but then again I'm not playing with my phone every 5 minutes all day long. Solid build quality, flagship hardware, compact design, and will get updates for years to come... Nice phone.

neo-trek, 20 Jul 2021 Bought this phone 6days back, doesn’t even last one day. Requires charging twice a day. More... moreNo there’s something causing battery drain if you’re losing 50% overnight. I only lose a tiny fraction of that. Also, this phone is for lite users. If you’re a gamer or taking lots of videos, I would not recommend this phone. But for people like me who mostly just message and do some browsing it’s absolutely fine. I’m averaging about 4 hrs SOT.
Bought this phone 6days back, doesn’t even last one day. Requires charging twice a day. More than 20% battery drain on idle. Charged phone battery to 100% by 12 in the night, but it depleted to almost 50% by 8am in the morning. Coming from a 1st Gen iPhone SE, did not expect such a worse battery. Are other users of this device also facing same issues ? Mine is assembled in India iPhone. Apple authorised service center reinstalled iOS 14.7 today and gave it back to me telling this is normal.

The iPhone 6 front design along with a dragged down Apple logo with the iPhone 7/8 back with a glassback, wireless charging, a better chipset equivalent to the iPhone 11 (slightly more efficient chipset than iPhone XR/Faster as well), a compact 4.7 inch easy to fit in pocket, a single rear camera able to record at 4K 60FPS easily, a lot of people still want Touch ID and quite a few still have a 6/7/8 to keep that feature, the only downside is the small battery as usual, the front camera capping out at 1080p only but this has more pros than cons, it’s a good upgrade from a older iPhone, just maybe invest in a battery case/powerbank as a drill but most of all the software support that’s to come for this phone, think about it, the iPhone 7 was released with IOS 10 in 2016 and is still being supported upcoming with IOS 15 in 2021, so it’s possible that it will end support in (2026/2027) but I wouldn’t know how advanced smartphones will be with maybe 16/32GB of ram or even 256GB as a starting ROM, who knows, just get above the 64GB for the iPhone SE 2nd Gen if you want this phone to last for awhile + a case for obvious reasons.
RazaNaqvi, 29 Jun 2021I bought Iphone SE 2020 ... in just 15 days its battery health has been down from 100% to 99% ... moreIt is normal because the % is an estimate. You should not worry about some very few %. It is generally said to replace it when it gets below 80%, but if battery life is still enough, you can also just continue using it. Many iPhone 6s or 7 that have not had their battery changed are probably now running below 70%.
JdRDMS, 05 Apr 2020Apple is doing this design intentionally. The iPhone 6 design still has fans, and Apple knows ... moreIm sure Apple's psychology was not just that. This design is just cheaper to manufacture as they already have production line-up and it just needed to differ from there premium models.
Hihi, 11 Feb 2021So you are saying we should only use 50% of the battery?Whoever I said it to was asking about the health/life of lithium batteries long-term. I was telling them that there was a study done which found that lithium batteries lasted longer long-term (i.e. battery health declined at a slower rate long-term) when the batteries were charged up to (less than symbol) 90% every time meaning the partially charged batteries lasted longer in the long-run than the ones that were fully charged every time e.g. 10 years lifetime vs 1 year lifetime. < <

It is normal. Mine is 8 months old and 5% down. Check monthly once to see it is not decreasing too much.
