If fact the s10e is comparable to this in many ways but it didn't start at $399. Good luck with women next time you may need permission to buy a phone with your own money....

Hamed, 22 Apr 2020upgrade or downgrade???Wdym? If you've got an iPhone 8 or prior then it's an upgrade. If you've got an Android weeeellllll that's hard to say. Galaxy S6 or prior is a definite upgrade.

The A13 is... moreMy phone is the Samsung A20e. Maybe you think that I will say the next things just because my phone doesn't have them, but true being told, my last 2 phones before were Samsung S9+ and iphone 8 plus. And those phones had pretty much everything, but I didn't use any of them. Yeah, I know is strange to come from flagship phones to mid-range or low-end phones, but I did it and I am proud of it. Nowadays, I like to spend money elsewhere, on women for example, not on gadgets.
Now, to answer your points:
-my phone has fast charging, is actually the same charger used in S9/Note 9 series. And all the A series from Samsung in 2019, is the "Adaptive fast charger".
-I don't use and don't need wireless charging. I didn't use it before, I will not use in the future. For me it is useless device or feature. Either if I plug my phone charger into the socket or the wireless charger into the socket is the same thing.
- I don't need any kind of water or dust protection to my device. I don't bring my phone to the toilet, I don't take my phone out if it is raining (also I live in a country where is raining/snowing rarely), etc. My only time in about 10 years when I needed IP rating on my phones was when I went rafting (back then I had an Xperia Z1, I think). So, I am not paying extra for this feature or look for this particular feature in a phone.
-I don't need camera phones. I take, literally speaking, about 30 picture/year with my phones. So, why pay extra for some 1000 MP camera, or some things like image stabilization or slow motion (I don't even know what are those). I don't take pictures of my food, or some idiot things like that. I rather stop and look at that thing with my own eyes and enjoy that moment.
-my phone has light weight and size. That is why I choose it really. Even though is plastic, is a good and nice design. Actually it's remaining me of my Samsung S3, is pretty much the same built. I don't like metal bodies (I had HTC and Asus phones in the past, worst design ever when it comes to practicality). And glass backs are heavy and boring (now every phone has glass back).
-the last 2 you are right about them (better software and more secure system). I actually think that will be the only way I can ever buy another iphone again. Then again, I don't have enough money on my account, I don't have naked picture with me, I don't have any social media account, delete them all (only google and whatsapp, and even this 2 because I was oblige to have them). So, I don't value my privacy, because there is nothing to value about.
P.S. I am not a boomer, I am actually 36 years old and I used to love gadgets. I am loving women more now.

No macro nor wide a... moreApple phones are not meant to be a bargain, this phone is the least expensive in their current line but still not inexpensive, you sound like a guy that would be better served by an android phone, if you want a bargain just get the Mi A3, it is not too big it has everything you want, impressive battery and it's like $160, it even features an AMOLED screen.
You pick this phone wanting: high performance, low weight, smaller size, high quality including build quality, better data security, iOS ecosystem. It's meant to be used as a phone not as a multimedia device or for heavy gaming. Indeed this phone is not for everyone.

In India you are paying $559 for the base model(64GB), hate to say this but this deal isn't great here!! Will go for Oneplus 8 instead -_-

I used charger 10W on that iPhone, it took sometimes more than 2 hours. That's why I confuse with that decision that persistent with 5W charger. At least should come with 18W charger in the box.
The competitors now included 30W/40W/65W charger in the box.

Battery size is concerning. Still no 3.5mm earphone jack. Just one camera. No macro nor wide angle lens. I see no bargain here...unless you want the a13 chip.
