Anonymous, 21 Apr 2020I don't know people with android phones are shy of telling what phone they have.
The A13 is... moreMy phone is the Samsung A20e. Maybe you think that I will say the next things just because my phone doesn't have them, but true being told, my last 2 phones before were Samsung S9+ and iphone 8 plus. And those phones had pretty much everything, but I didn't use any of them. Yeah, I know is strange to come from flagship phones to mid-range or low-end phones, but I did it and I am proud of it. Nowadays, I like to spend money elsewhere, on women for example, not on gadgets.
Now, to answer your points:
-my phone has fast charging, is actually the same charger used in S9/Note 9 series. And all the A series from Samsung in 2019, is the "Adaptive fast charger".
-I don't use and don't need wireless charging. I didn't use it before, I will not use in the future. For me it is useless device or feature. Either if I plug my phone charger into the socket or the wireless charger into the socket is the same thing.
- I don't need any kind of water or dust protection to my device. I don't bring my phone to the toilet, I don't take my phone out if it is raining (also I live in a country where is raining/snowing rarely), etc. My only time in about 10 years when I needed IP rating on my phones was when I went rafting (back then I had an Xperia Z1, I think). So, I am not paying extra for this feature or look for this particular feature in a phone.
-I don't need camera phones. I take, literally speaking, about 30 picture/year with my phones. So, why pay extra for some 1000 MP camera, or some things like image stabilization or slow motion (I don't even know what are those). I don't take pictures of my food, or some idiot things like that. I rather stop and look at that thing with my own eyes and enjoy that moment.
-my phone has light weight and size. That is why I choose it really. Even though is plastic, is a good and nice design. Actually it's remaining me of my Samsung S3, is pretty much the same built. I don't like metal bodies (I had HTC and Asus phones in the past, worst design ever when it comes to practicality). And glass backs are heavy and boring (now every phone has glass back).
-the last 2 you are right about them (better software and more secure system). I actually think that will be the only way I can ever buy another iphone again. Then again, I don't have enough money on my account, I don't have naked picture with me, I don't have any social media account, delete them all (only google and whatsapp, and even this 2 because I was oblige to have them). So, I don't value my privacy, because there is nothing to value about.
P.S. I am not a boomer, I am actually 36 years old and I used to love gadgets. I am loving women more now.
NikiDroid, 22 Apr 2020I was iPhone 6S user. I used charger 10W on that iPhone, it took sometimes more than 2 hours. ... moreThis phone has fast charging unlike the 6s, 50% in half an hour if I read right, bear in mind that not so many charging watts are needed as the battery capacity is low.
Anonymous, 22 Apr 2020Battery size is concerning. Still no 3.5mm earphone jack. Just one camera. No macro nor wide a... moreApple phones are not meant to be a bargain, this phone is the least expensive in their current line but still not inexpensive, you sound like a guy that would be better served by an android phone, if you want a bargain just get the Mi A3, it is not too big it has everything you want, impressive battery and it's like $160, it even features an AMOLED screen.
You pick this phone wanting: high performance, low weight, smaller size, high quality including build quality, better data security, iOS ecosystem. It's meant to be used as a phone not as a multimedia device or for heavy gaming. Indeed this phone is not for everyone.
In India you are paying $559 for the base model(64GB), hate to say this but this deal isn't great here!! Will go for Oneplus 8 instead -_-
Max, 15 Apr 2020Not like it will need it. It has the same battery as an iPhone 8 so it will charge relatively ... moreI was iPhone 6S user. I used charger 10W on that iPhone, it took sometimes more than 2 hours. That's why I confuse with that decision that persistent with 5W charger. At least should come with 18W charger in the box.
The competitors now included 30W/40W/65W charger in the box.
Battery size is concerning. Still no 3.5mm earphone jack. Just one camera. No macro nor wide angle lens. I see no bargain here...unless you want the a13 chip.
battery life…will it be enough for 1 day usage…?
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2020Is this 5G phone, like others flagships (and couple of midrangers) from 2020? Nope this is an iphone. It means it doesn't have 5g
In Croatia it’s 575 US$ for base model!!!!! I know taxes and all. But what the...???
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2020Are you keeping in secret the name of that phone? What phone is it dude. It's brand from United States of America (same as Apple). I paid for brand new, 80 euros for that phone, and works ok, it takes good pictures, battery (3k) holds 2-3 days with 5-6 SoT, yes it's bigger (a little) than SE, but is not that much wider. Also, only one gram heavier than SE, but with 1179 more mah. It's based on the most popular (above 80%) mobile os in the world, and about security, feature is, there is removable back cover, so we can always remove battery if we suspect that someone trackin us, haha. Only cons is no 5g support on that 80 euros phone, but i guess, this one (above 500€ here in eu), have 5g support, right?
AnonD-833125, 21 Apr 2020My phone has 142g, a 5.8" display with teardrop notch, got updated with the latest Android 10 ... moreI don't know people with android phones are shy of telling what phone they have.
The A13 is what is making the headlines but there is more to this phone than that:
-optical image stabilization in the camera (OIS)
-Advanced image processing algorithms.
-high end build quality along with light weight and size.
-Unique operating system and ecosystem.
-better sensitive data security
still waiting for the official release in Indonesia, i know it'll be higher at the price because of the dollar conversion rate and our taxes too
Reusing the iPhone 8 case for this is not really an innovation.
When I was buying the last iphone I chose Iphone SE, and not Iphone 8 - but now things are merged. What a joke....
imagine doing "heavy games" on a damn phone lmaooooooooooooooooo
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2020It's 148g dude try to compare that with the 220g of the S20 ultra (ultra heavy that is). most ... moreMy phone has 142g, a 5.8" display with teardrop notch, got updated with the latest Android 10 with all its features and cost me 200EUR (new), 8 months ago. Also, no lag, or other small problems.
So, it is possible to have a good cheap Android phone too.
Thus being said, I think this iphone SE will sell like crazy, not because it is good (apart from the chipset), but because it is Apple.
Nick Slotter, 21 Apr 2020Official prices in Serbia: 64gb - 560eur; 120gb - 620eur; 256gb - 760eur. great deal! lolRidiculous, just import it if you want it, sorry for the people of your country and many others, in india it will come out at a ridiculous price also, much of it is taxes, import and sales taxes.
Anonymous, 21 Apr 2020dont what you can do on a 4.7 inch phone. Making calls, messages, social media. For everything... moreIn India this phone is selling for an outrageous price, it's $399 USD in US and YES, if you are a heavy gamer or if you want to watch movies this phone is NOT adequate for that.
This phone is for people that want a quality, small, light and fast device, the device is intended to be used as a *phone*.
If you need a multimedia device for games, movies and such, and you are willing to carry around 200g or more comically sized device then you have the max from apple and a endless number of android devices that will meet your needs, DO NOT get this.
Official prices in Serbia: 64gb - 560eur; 120gb - 620eur; 256gb - 760eur. great deal! lol
