Anonymous, 18 May 2015I have had an archos oxygen smartphone for 6 months and the mini-usb connector no longer works... moreWooooow, the exact thing happened to me but with Archos Oxygen 50 + and ironicaly my model not listed in GSM Arena. Can you believe it. For six months my phone had 6 issues, after 3 months I had to change AC/DC adapter, also vibrate motor, sound and finally battery. No battery for this model in my country to buy. I hate Archos.

when i try to update android , it download the file and restart to install , but this message appears,
Error: Invalid partition setting
15: android 3980000:4300000. Update.zip is not correct. Installation aborted
please help me , thanx .

HASSAN GHANDER, 29 Sep 2014i got his phone from mouth it works well till with hd display , amazing camera specially the s... moreIts a good phone but there is two big problems battery is so poor and the phone not support mp4 ext for v camera it record as 3gp old ext which doesn't work when you connect the phone with LCD screen because it s only support mp4 . the ring tone option is bad. Thanks archos I am waiting for modifying

I have had an archos oxygen smartphone for 6 months and the mini-usb connector no longer works. Four weeks after returning it for replacement they eventually tell me it has been misused. But it has not. Never. As a 65-year-old very IT literate grandfather I know what is and is not misuse. It is simply bad assembly engineering. Extraordinary. Seriously bad customer service from Archos. I recommend you NOT to waste money by buyiing this product.

The camera is very good. Cannot understand this 'warning'. If anything the only faults I can identify are a yellowish hue to the IPS display, but beyond that...considering price..an exceptional device. Build quality is solid, bit of distortion from internal speaker and audio quality through even better earphones lacks depth and bass. Call quality very good. It is very similar in feel to the moto G 3g second generation. But a lot cheaper...

It is a really excellent phone but it will be the super mobile i saw in my life if it runs android lollipop 5.0 that is all what i want to say and to archos please try to upgrade it to lollipop please i promise you please thanks archos

The phone as card slot but as no card and you can't take a quick snap it will take you ages and the battery is the worst thing for heavy user like me . I regret buying this phone after just a week

Warning about this phone (I have it since July 2014).
-back camera is not so good, really poor quality using flash
-front camera really really bad (disgusting colors and shadows...)
-cheap processor + 1Go RAM -> poor performance
(you can run asphalt 8 but lags)
-frequently freezes
-autonomy of one day max

i am really confused between this phone (archos 50 oxygen ) and huawei honor 3c
some people told me that the technical specifications of the archos 50 oxygen are very good but the quality is not that good

..camera very good
..first camera for selfie amazing with it's flash
..latest android version can be updated officialy jelly bean
..processor speed delecious
..battery good
..otg cable wow you can use usb flash or usb modem
for it's price very crazy phone i loved it

it has FHD IPS at 480 ppi as proved by Antutu & Zdevice
It has only single core clocked at 357 Mhz GPU not 2 as reviewed (PowerVR SGX544MP2)
It has no Card slot (i.e. NO microSD up to 32 GB)
MHL TV-out standard cable not fit with the mobile micro USB (lack the downoward gap for the standard cable)
its bluetooth A2DP is questionable (cannot sucesfully pair my BT handset & Zdevice donot metion A2DP sound functionality)

I have this mobile, he is good mobile but he have many problem: 1- it's need more RAM like 2GB or high CPU or another CPU like snapdragonit's the best proccessor for mobiles.
2- lagging in front camera i dun knw why?
And whith retrice application is very lagging
3- it's need accessories like other mobiles cover or screen protector, i get screen protector like glass it's very safty this screen for samsung s4.
4- need to update software to kitkat

i ve bought this phone a couple of days age. it looks and feels fantastic.the battery span is ok. it can lasts for more than a day if you are not a heavy users. i does have a slot for SD card which is shame i guess.
i did not like the back side camera and i feel that the front side camera produces far better images than the backside one.
overall a well respected piece of technology
