Asus Firmware Updates Android

Earlier last month, Asus announced the Android Pie beta program for the ZenFone Max Pro (M2). And now, the company has extended it to include the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) as well.

Zenfone Max Pro M1 users, your craving for Pie ends now! We’re opening up the Android Beta Program to all those who wish to have an early taste of the Android Pie, while you wait for the official release. You may apply for the beta version by clicking here https://t.co/M2QHjSuajw pic.twitter.com/vpo5cGMD6w

— ASUS India (@ASUSIndia) February 28, 2019

The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) launched last year in April with Android 8.1 Oreo and the company promised at least two major OS updates for this phone.

During the launch of ZenFone Max Pro (M2) in India last December, Asus promised to roll out Android Pie for ZenFone Max Pro (M1) this February. Yet, instead of rolling out a stable build, the company has released a beta build. Hopefully testing will go smoothly and the final thing won't take too long to follow.

You can enroll in the beta program by following this link.

However, before you enroll in the beta program, do note that beta builds may contain bugs that could hamper the user experience. Furthermore, Asus says that it will not provide downgrade service for beta users unless they quit this program.

Asus recently shared a list of smartphones that would get the Android Pie update. You can head this way to see if your smartphone will get this latest version of Android.
