Just today morning received kitkat 4.4 update of 181mb.. as of now didnt notice any major changes but its faster than before.. and from india.. battery has improved quite a bit and build no is KRT16S

Let me tell u guys that official kitkat update is not yet, out in the market. Not in India, neither in rest of the world. OS updates for android come at once all around the world.

I too faced the same problem. The issue is with the charger provided by ebay while shipping. If you had directly bought from US stores like wallmart,bestbuy or staples, then you wouldn't have faced this charging problem. I would suggest you buy a charger cable locally(this charger wire should be hardly 5-6 meters in length max,coz the minimum distance between the plug point to the Nexus 7 USD charging point, the better and quicker charge the device will get). Also, charge your Nexus 7 by turning the device off and once Nexus 7 is fully charged, turn it on. First 2 weeks full battery drain and then charging it full is very vital for the device's battery performance to do better in the long run. I always charge my Nexus 7 only after the battery indicator shows 4%. Good luck with the method I suggested above and do let me know your feedback.
