Four years old, away from home use for about 4 months per year. Frequent poor performance. Recently unable to switch on when fully charged and now seems will not charge or switch on. Tried lots of on line advice to no good effect. In my opinion a waste of £189. So much for all the marvellous things said when it was launched.

Hello Petkovic, screen can be found on aliexpress, just be sure what is the correct name of the model, because the placement of the screws. Separation of touchscreen from LCD and frame is very hard, so I advise you to look for replacement for whole front (LCD+digitizer+front frame).

I purchased it recently ( though a second hand )
It works fine..
One suggestion.. if its got Jelly Bean android verson.. try not upgrade to kitkat or lolipop.. it will slow down... Keep it the way its...

I still have my Grouper.
Combination of "pure Nexus 6.0.1 ROM" + "f2fs file system" + "Greenify app" + "SkyNet mod" and using light apps instead of heavy ones (like facebook mobile site on opera mini instead of that crappy facebook app) makes Grouper usable again.

I bought a nexus 7 about 3 years ago, but last year it seemed to pack up. In the last couple of days my son seemed to get it going, so I thought a good idea would be to revert to factory settings and start anew. Now it is unable to recognise my wifi, so will not do anything.
any ideas out there.

I bought the 2012 Nexus 7 in 2014, so far had zip problems with it. Upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1 when it came out and it lagged and froze like crazy. Eventually after reading many blogs and days of pondering, i eventually huffed and puffed and did a factory reset.
Works just as good as new.
That said, I am thinking of the 2013 version now, any recommendations?

Batteries are available. Ease theback off reolace battery, stick it down, close up case.
