dont take any asus google nexus tablet if it is android 4.1.1 jelly bean and can upgrade to 5.0.2 as i have taken asus google nexus 7 (2012) it is on the android 4.1.1 jelly bean and can upgrade to 5.0.2 lollipop and i have updated also to 5.0.2 and thne i m facing many problem... i update to 5.0.2 lollipop its processing is going slow hanging problem and many more...so please dont the the tab of asus google neexus tablet as it is having many problem.......i suggest everyone to go the the samsung,apple and many more.....so please dont take asus google nexus 7(2012) spically......

I don't think I'd purchase another of these. The battery life is abysmal, certainly no traveling with this unit, thank goodness I have a kindle

bot, 22 Mar 2015Guy's how do i re-install back my kitkat OS on my nexus 7 2012 ed., 5.1 lollipop sucks it alwa... morewhy you want to go back? just do a factry reset and it will solve your problems. I ahade the same problem for almost 2 months I found the solustion on google support. very easy: factry reset and you done, you will not losse any thing, your apps will be downloaded again ones you open your account.

aa, 20 Feb 2015DO NOT UPGRADE TO THE NEW OS...it will kill or strongly damage your NEXUS 7 I own the Nexus 7... moreyes, it slows the tablet, turned off while watching a movie even it is fully charged. i have called their customer service and my last option is to have it reversed to kitkat.

While the device is switched on hold the power button until the screen goes black wait one minute and switch the device back on hope this helps too

This tablet is great you are all stupid thinking lollipop slows it down but if anything it has enhanced my tablets stability and performance consider getting your software wiped cleaned and restored it may work better. Hope this helps

This artice is very thorough and very much what the uninformed need. I was unaware of :how complex the new version is; the difference between the three methods of one getting the "upgrade" ; the reasons for the battery gripes; the reason for the security issues during the update and most of all the permutations an combinations of both the nexus settings and the google settings combined....if you're still hanging on check it out. I was about ready to put a bullet into mine! Nexus 7 wifi front cam only 1gig ram 16 gig storage and better than ever. Edburd@gmail
