aa, 20 Feb 2015DO NOT UPGRADE TO THE NEW OS...it will kill or strongly damage your NEXUS 7 I own the Nexus 7... moreyes, it slows the tablet, turned off while watching a movie even it is fully charged. i have called their customer service and my last option is to have it reversed to kitkat.

While the device is switched on hold the power button until the screen goes black wait one minute and switch the device back on hope this helps too

This tablet is great you are all stupid thinking lollipop slows it down but if anything it has enhanced my tablets stability and performance consider getting your software wiped cleaned and restored it may work better. Hope this helps

This artice is very thorough and very much what the uninformed need. I was unaware of :how complex the new version is; the difference between the three methods of one getting the "upgrade" ; the reasons for the battery gripes; the reason for the security issues during the update and most of all the permutations an combinations of both the nexus settings and the google settings combined....if you're still hanging on check it out. I was about ready to put a bullet into mine! Nexus 7 wifi front cam only 1gig ram 16 gig storage and better than ever. Edburd@gmail

I own the Nexus 7 II and it asked me to upgrade to the new software....Lollipop
first it slowed it down and after two days to keeps rebooting and turning itself off and now nothing happens.
Google said the warranty is over and I am out of luck....I guess this is one way to make people throw away their good units and go buy a new one...well I think I go buy an Apple now!

guys don't just complain about the L update, just try to figure it out. I've flashed cm12 and overclocked it. & the nexus 7 is running flawlessly. overclocking really improves the performance

I have finally throw my nexus in disgust after upgrading to 5.02. I couldn't get anything to load within 5 minutes and then apps would crash if they weren't running un-usably slowly. I can't stand ipads but 5.02 made my nexus unworkable and no apparent upgrade on the horizon (well no info from google anyway) I think I might have to go for ipad

Updated my Nexus and it responds so slowly since the update is there a way to revert back to the previous update

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2014yes i am from India i bought Google nexus 7 from eBay at the time it was running jelly bean an... morein my experience, kitkat is far better and hassle-free than 5.0.2, which has slowed down and erased the games loaded, without any apparant good at all.

The start screen calls for sweeping from bottom to top instead of left to right. I like Facebook, and my connection drops without warning. This did not happen before the updates. All apps load much slower, if at all. I'm growing to hate my tablet, but I know the problem is the updates and not the tablet.

My Nexus 7 updated this week. The four coloured dots go round and round and round it is so slow loading. Then suddenly a padlock has appeared which has to be swiped why? It is so unresponsive that I swipe it over twenty times to open it. Why is this padlock here and if I don't touch the tablet for a short while the padlock reappears. Please, please do something about it.
