I've been had my 2013 Nexus 7 for a few months now and I have to say that I liked the 2012 version much better.. They say that the speakers are much louder but they are not.. They say that the screen is better which it is not.. My 2013 freezes up on me a lot.. I reset it and thought that would help but it didn't.. When I have my headphones attached and I try to watch Netflix or listen to Pandora, the Google Talk Command keeps popping up without me doing a thing to the tablet.. They say that the 2013 version is much faster than the 2012 version which it runs about the same.. I feel like I really wasted my money on this one.. If I could get a refund I would.. I love the Nexus 7 brand but this 2013 Nexus 7 is a joke.! #UnsatisfiedCustomer
For my device, headphone is not working (no sound). Anyone face similiar type of issue? How you resolve the problem?

So damn awesome. The best Android device I have had to date. Extremely fast and guaranteed upgrades. Android L is being optimised for Nexus 7.
It´s just unbelievable: no 4.4.4 update so far for the LTE. Bought in the same store (MediaMarkt Austria, west europe), but my Nexus 5 received this update many many weeks ago... Even the cyanogenmod on my SGS2 updated itself to this version. Can´t find words, this was the top of the line tablet when I bought it. I had 2, the regular, only wifi version was up to date all the times. Thinkin´about rooting all my devices and flashing CM. They are more professional, than the google guys.
muztkovite, 28 Aug 2014can this LTE version devices make a phonecalls or video call?no but its one of the best ever. it doesnt ghave a flash too
The Nexus 7 3G cannot make phone calls. You can receive SMS but cannot reply.
Despite these limitations it is still one of the best 7 inch tablets on this planet and I would use no other tablet.
I have had four of them, so I know what I am talking about! (Currently on a 32GB 2013 LTE).
I have been using this for a month. I can't explain how good is this tab. This is the best tab, you can buy at this price.

I recommend you get something else unless you don't mind if the premium slim build will creak after a few months like mine did. It's all over the webs. I aint the one having this issue.

I didnt notice it supports OTG! I tried to make it read my ext hdd and mouse, bt it didnt. Wat cud be d prob? The same OTG cable was used in my XperiaM and it worked.
Great price/performance ratio, excellent display. very good for browsing, playing, watching videos, basically for everything. I use it mainly for software testing. Very useful device for me, never disappointed me after 1 year of usage.
Main disadvantage is the lack of SD card slot, but it supports USB-OTG, so it's possible to use it with external storage.
