nick, 05 Aug 2013For those who have bought this device, is there any problem with the micro sd slot? Because I ... moreI got mine Asus Memo Pad HD7 yesterday and returned it today due to a faulty SD card slot. From my reading, seems like this is a common problem. Now I am concerned about my headphones not working from other posts.
Does it support "USB on the go"?
Can it run intensive games like real racing?
I have bought it last week. I can conclude these:
pros: hd screen IPS,decent battery life, good camera for this range
cons: no glass protection (gorilla or Asahi), no light sensor for auto brightness, medium build quality, sd card slot does not have cap and is open, some bugs in porting android
as I know it is unique inits price range and it generally good to buy, you will be satistfied.
Anonymous, 26 Aug 2013anyone know if OTG is going to work in the future?which cpu is better: Cortex-A7 or Cortex-A9?
comparing memo hd 7 &b nexus 7
As a buyer I should say:
It is very good at its price. but it is a little laggy in eBook zooming in and zooming out
bought it cause it's cheap. processor is s*it. just to go through the app drawer or home screens it's terribly laggy. i hope there will be some custom roms which will make it better optimised, it really lags a lot
i like all about this tab. the only sad part is that it dznt hav sim slots. but i want to know whether i can connect a dongle or somthing to use net on non wifi area.
I would like to know. Can I connect wire adaptor for hdtv? Is this device support HDMI?
Love it quick snappy and RNA xbmc fact and smooth for price cant beat it. Awesome Tablet. Because n7 doesn't have SD support is the reason I tried this one glad I did.
I was to buy nexus 2 but got it in UK for £ 133. Using it since 2 weeks and its excellent device. Quad core rocks, Performace is very slick. Screen is amazing. Video watching is pleasure. Very light weight. Camera is good. 32 GB memory addition is a plus. battery lasts more than 10 hours. For better screen new nexus is best, but with almost 50% price this is a deal for me. other than screen, features almost same as nexus. I don't think for daily usage mediatek and snapdragon processor will have any noted difference. At least I did not find anywhere that I needed more power. Can give it to kids for playing without too much worry. My friend got lenovo tablet for £120, this one is miles ahead.
as i have read this devise specification .. everything is found to compete the nexus 7 second generation ...but my question is dose this device support to external dongle ,pen drive or any storage media for accessing data by externally. its very good budget device who looking to buy in low price as asus said 129 $ ..
its my request to expert ans my query ...

Had an old Nexus 7. Amazing hardware specs, general OS & gaming performance and latest Android. It had two main problems: First, the washed-out screen (as if there is a very thin grey mist hovering over) with weak and bland colours/contrast/sharpness and weak blacks. Secondly, the single mono speakers at the back which even when doors closed and a quiet weekend it still doesn't measure up to the Galaxy tabs, iPad minis and the Kindle Fire HDs. Does the Memo pad HD7 improve on those issues? Or is it more same old-same old? Please advice.
