Thanks for ur reply.
The notification icon in the top taskbar disappears after sometime if you notice carefully and thats the thing that makes me miss messages.

After i get a SMS, it ... moreIf you have selected Messaging under Items tab for Asus Today, you will see "No unread messages" or actual number of unread messages.
In addition, looking at the top task bar, you will see a unread message icon. At the lower task bar, you will have the notification tab as you have mentioned.
If you had activated, you can also get sound alarm, vibrate alarm and flashing lights for incoming sms.
If still not satisfied, just look for third party app that can continue to provide alarm sound reminders ( unlike wm6.1 that don't allow repeats)...

I just installed pointui and i find it cool. is there any option to view photographs/ audios/ videos in the sliding interface

Been long since I have posted here,
Couple of Updates,
1. My phone died :( Went to the service centre, they said the battery died, just one month !. Anyways they replaced it. If any of you guys are looking for the Asus Bangalore Service Centre, the details are here

2. Have found an alternate for the PointUI battery drain, if you use the lock button on the side of the phone, I get a drain of about 2 % per hour which is acceptable.
3. While at the service center, I got the ROM upgraded, as others have posted here, it has improved the overall stability.
4. Throttle Launcher, is it better than Point UI, I somehow wasn't impressed , possibly because I didn't spend too much time in the setups. Is it fasters ? Any references ?

hey guys i got this fone a week back.. .im having problems with its battery.. .i mean it doesnt even survives for a day... it goes off really fast.. is it a problem with my set.. or all phones have bad battery life.. pls help.. otherwise all features r great.. and i also want to knw whether gps system works in india. and how to activate it..

now there is 4.13 upgrade on the site. i have downloaded 4.10 upgrade but yt not installed. whether i have to upgrade first to 4.10 and then to 4.13 or can i upgrade to 4.13 directly? can i install dirctly from tapping autorun in the folder of 2577?
