@z - happened to me once, all my contacts etc. were deleted after a soft boot, but memory card contents were still there.
Use the sync thing to save your contacts and calendar to outlook.
had this phone a month- love it... but has an annoying habit of deleting installed stuff from my memory card! wonder if any1 else faced a similar problem. hope its just the card! today after a soft reset it virtually formatted itself! :(. HELP!
I wanted to ask how is da performance of da fone and is it it better than htc or any other.
Dont even try flashing non Asus ROM to your phone, it will ruin it unless tested.
The phone is a little faster, but the network problem is still there.
No other visual improvements seem to be there.

Thanks for the update, was curious, can you flash a HTC ROM onto this device or are the ROMs hardware specific ? There is a popular one out there called Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid.
Any improvement post flashing ?
I have flashed the ROM and it went perfectly well.

The process on the Asus site is a little wrong, after copying the files onto the SDHC card, the phone needs to be normally rebooted once.
The normal reboot will extract the files to the card.
Now do the volume key reboot, and the progress bar will increase slowly.
After windows is installed, it will launch auto installer which will launch the Asus utilities.
Note : I take no responsibility for above process, please backup all data and proceed at your own risk. Keep battery charged and keep phone plugged in.
I have been running PointUi on the handset and have noticed that it drains my battery like hell even after going to standby mode . Any one faced this problems.
Also there are a lot of ROMs available out there ? Anyone flashed theirs till now ? Do share the experience.
Regarding programs, S2P is a better player than Pocket Player, S2V is also available for picture but I haven't used it yet.

I installed Garmin Que thinking it will work, but it turned out to be only for bluetooth receiver of Garmin. I uninstalled the software from the settings. But the problem i am presently facing is, i get this annoying dialogue telling "storagecard/garmin/garmin Que not found". I think its checking it everytime i try to access GPS from another software.
I wanted to know if there is anything like msconfig / boot.ini for win mobile as in windows desktop?? or is there any other solution??
Had installed registry cleaner and found no errors with registry. Kindly help.
Thanks in advance.

this place already has most of the FAQs regarding the phone well answered, all ppl need to do is glance before they post...
once again, thx for ur contribution to all the posts.

Most people visit these kind of forums before they actually decide on buying a particular phone - so, it is pretty natural for them to compare 2 models which are quite similar in platform, price and form factor. As far as P320 vs. Touch, the detailed comparisons have already been posted many times on these pages - so, anyone should be able to go back and take a look at them.

Im yet to perform the upgrade to the latest bios version.
Also, i have tried to run some games on the emulator, but havent managed to get it right yet...
I'd request others also to share the software that they are using.
And to all those having trouble getting a lock on the GPS, PLZ UPDATE UR GPS DATA. It'd work perfectly after that.
I've tried posting earlier, but the post gets moderated and never comes online.
Wish u all a good day!
Martin De'Cruze Jose, 01 Sep 2008Can one get the accesories easily here ? and is it like the other CHINA PHONES?hi martin, in case u dont find retailers for this fone, u might very well buy it online.
Most of the useful accessories are included. Im wondering what else u'll actually need. Since it works thru a USB port, it wont be that hard to find either.
Also, this is NOT a chinese phone. It is a top of the end fone, available to us at a great price. It runs windows mobile 6.1, one of the most advanced mobile phone OS. No chinese phone can match the features and quality of this one.
