MS, 27 Aug 2008Is there a way to upgrade RAM or ROM?Not officially, but I have seen people crack open their WinMo phones to upgrade their RAM. You can see videos and images of people doing this all over the web, although I haven't seen it done for any ASUS phones. You can try, BUT IT'S VERY RISKY!
t-dome, 26 Aug 2008Did you install TCPMP (not the CorePlayer) on the P320 and see it working or only on your P527? t-dome, I was able to install and use TCPMP on both, the P320 as well as the P527 (the latter is the one I am currently using).

Sumeet, 27 Aug 2008how does the gps work?? does it require gprs or wifi?? wat type of connection does it require?... moreThe GPS doesn't need any connection to work, that depends just on the navigation software you use. It just needs a more or less clear view to the sky so that it can locate at least 3 GPS satellites.
It works well, it's precise (ofcourse not 100% all the time, but that's normal).
how does the gps work?? does it require gprs or wifi?? wat type of connection does it require?? also is the gps precise??
Murali, 22 Aug 2008Let me begin,
Softwares that I use:
1. Palringo
2. fring
3. skyfire
4. Google maps
5... moreOfflate half the posts of mine don't show up, really sad, and it takes time to validate so don't even know till later that it as failed.
I took the plunge on Sunday and bought it for 11.5k , put in a 2 GB card for 400 bucks. Screen guard not yet, was hoping for some feedback before spending another 300 bucks. The white one really looks sweet.
Regarding the applications ...
1. PointUi , really cool application, hangs occasionally but definitely much better than the normal Windows interface
2. PocketPlayer, music player with a similar itouch interface for navigation, skinnable but the player itself is simple
3. Google maps, the GPS is not very stable, at times I am not able to pick up satellite from the same location at home. Haven't tested this through GPRS but the maps load real quick through Wifi.
4. Active Sync, managed to get this to work via bluetooth
5. MapmyIndia, its a pain having to shift to landscape to run this, still have difficulty to picking up the satellites, with update once I do the road test.
6. Phonepad, allows for input into the device using T9. Very useful for me to send SMS without stylus.
Cheers !
