Dear Asus 525 Users,
I bought this unit in the Philippines, last week (May 5), when I arrived in Vietnam the Wi-fi works very well.
But I made a mistake to click the Menu on the left side below, where I choose something I cant remember.
Now, whenever I am clicking the Explorer icon, after seeing website icon like Asus, Product Support and MSN, the word Menu on the left side below, will dissapear including the website bar.
Can somebody help me how to get back those Menu icon?
lote of roms languages update r out on asus webpage.
just search for p525 in da webpage and go to download page.
Does anybody know what the RAM and ROM speed of this phone. It's not mentioned in the specifications on GSMarena site. 128MB internal memory is pretty cool.

hi...the wifi connectivity depends on the area where hotspot is located, batt life is normal depends on your usage but the more you use bt and wifi it will drain fast...bt is ok for fon and mp3 use
sorry if I'm a newbie but I'm just curious about the capacity of the P525, is the wifi fast?
battery life is about how many days?
and can this phone unit can handle bluetooth headphones?
to access internet just do follow what "CRUISE" has posted i'm also using the same config...
u can check sms / emails and sync bet ur pc and asus...
price is php 29k (usd 600.00+)...
"WIFI" is cheaper (nid 2 find hotspots...some area offer 4 free and some have 2 buy access card)..."GPRS" is a connection using ur network provider...(smart is cheaper than globe)...oooopppssss...sori no offence meant but its true...
can anyone explain to me what does wifi do? what is the difference between wifi and GPRS?

does anyone know how much this hp costs. ?
i must have this. . lol

tnx to cruise!
YISHIN u should follow what cruise posted below bcoz it worked 4 me & i'm using my asus to post this.
the problem is in the orginal settings of myGlobe internet, the default access pt name is www.globe.com.ph but the right one should be like wat cruise said, internet.globe.com.ph
tnx again! gud luck to u yishin
I also did the auto configuration thing for my gprs, mms and internet settings
hi i have the same problem with globe eventhough i use postpaid plan, i think my gprs works fine ONLY when connecting to send my MMS, but when browsing through the IE, it can't. when i use my IE it says it already has been connected by it keeps on locating and locating and locating and locating the website i want to go to. i'll try what the others posted for the settings and i'll post again what will happen. tnx
cruise you must have a globe plan service to use your gprs. its auto configuration actually.
if you subscribe Globe plan. there is no need for configuration. just choose globe internet in network management thats all. but not in prepaid. x-p
Hi Yishin! I'm sorry to hear that your IE still doesn't respond. Well, may I suggest you to bring your phone to where you bought it and have them configure it. However, if you have time to toy around with your phone, if still resetting doesn't work, try default setting.
Take note that if you use default settings, all your data will be lost as well as any programs you loaded. So, better back up everything if you decide to use default settings. I've done these a couple of times when I can't configure the phone and resetting doesn't work, and It was a success. When you do decide, then work your way to what I mentioned for the gprs set-up, starting with network settings.
Best of luck! And have a nice day.
The joystick button is the mian problem on this thing.Camera is good but again some programs just default when you try to use them sometimes.I myself went for the gigabyte gsmart model(i don't regret it) which is smaller, handier, with TV and cost cheaper than the Asus.i love Asus but this phone is a liability if you are thinking of buying one.
