The pad bezel is just too large, because you will get the best speaker at all
the sound of the station pad is very very clear and loud

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2014compared to nexus 5, which perfomance is better?I believe Padfone S is better for many reasons:
1- Camera is higher 13 for padfone while 8 for lg
2- Padfone have memory card slot but LG no !
In addition the CPU version of Padfone is newer of LG. Moreover, Padfone is cheaper of about 80$ and it can be extended to become a Tab by using the Padfone station.

It's true, the LCD screen overall color is yellowish if compare to other phone, especially white color. The screen also is not the brightest, but just enough bright (it's not dim)
The speaker is just ok, not the loudest.
The phone is of black gross plastic build. Overall the phone feel comfortable and solid in hand.
At this price, this is the best you can get (much better than the ASUS own Zenfone 5/6).
The phone is very powerful, on par with those high end phone. UI is smooth, game can load very fast. All high end graphic game can be played without noticeable frame drop. The phone also start up very quickly.
The pad dock station is very heavy and bulky, and the pad bezel is just too large.
If not adding the pad station, the phone alone is the best you can get at this price.
It pack Qualcomm SnapDragon 801 processor and 2GB RAM , promise some of the smoothest experience.
All in all, high end spec with low end price point. You won't find other phone even come close to this (even beating chinese brand phone).
The only thing I complain about is the marketing of the phone is very poor. Seems less people know that this phone do exist in the market (all shop now pushing Oppo and Vivo smartphone, which is over priced compare to this phone)
I strongly recommend for those who like to switch from iPhone to Android (price is even cheaper than Nexus 5).

i just had this phone yesterday..the battery life while playin games quite good...it can last for 4-5 hours gaming
the camera is excellent
but the battery is a bit problem cbause it drain so fast
but im still workin to solve this problem

regret buying this phone. dim/yellowish screen and bad speaker.. not user friendly interface menu.

Well.... This smartphone phone is still new, so gsmarena should review it for it's performance.
Smartphone with SnapDragon 801, which is one third of the price of reputable brand.
It should be a good alternative for those who are in the budget.
But, consider anything that is above SnapDragon S4 Pro, 600, 800, it should provide comparable performance.

it gives a little higher performance than S5 (about 42600) by Antutu 5, and it uses very comfortable screen and you can control the color temperature.
it uses also Miracast instead of MHL.
you will surprise by the clear and high speaker performance for the station.
the annoyed things are:
-the heavy weight of station+phone together.
-there is no USB connection with your PC as mass storage when you use the station ( you can connect only the phone).
- front camera quality drops to 5 MP only, when you use phone+station.
according to Asus website :

Oneplus one and Mi4 has no Micro SD card slot, so you are calling those better? Stuck with only with 16GB memory if you only buy the smaller memory? (Ok, I know, those come with 64GB version)
But if 64GB version is not available in some region, so how to be said is good? (Some people can live with 16GB)
XiaoMi phone may steal your personal info, giving to unknown people, do you call this phone a good phone? Or do you still trust this company? (Android=Google=you are not save no matter which android phone you choose to use.)
Don't judge a phone just by your personal preference.
I would say this phone performance is on par with those high end phone. (Agree, but at least we can read a lot of reviews first to at least get an idea on how the phone will behave)
If you do not own the phone, please don't put negative comment. (People put negative comment iphone even when they don't have it, nothing difference here.)
