which is better phone of ASUS? V66 or V80? is it true that V66 has internal 64MB? then how about V80?
to Ms or Mr Yueh, how limited is the text message? I have SE(W800i), im particular on the number of messages it can store eh. I'm really interested to buy one. thanks guys.
just asking guys..
does your Asus V80 phone limited in java games?
n my previous phone (W550i), i installed 100+ java games & i have no trouble at it. Here in V80, my games is limited to < 15 java games, because of filesize.
do you have any idea on how can i install more games in V80? i have 250+ java games in my memory card (in .jar format), sayang naman if i can't installed at least 50+ games, para ma-enjoy ko ang V80 ko..
- 2 megapixel camera is soooooo great
- night mode in camera is very good
- user can play java games, watch 3gp/mp4 movies, organize files, use the camera, & record video in flight mode
- earphones is superb
- great mp3 player
- animated themes
- user can use it as a USB mass storage (mine is 512mb)
- bluetooth compatible to other phones
- nice GUI
- rubber in joystick is easily removed
- hard to text
- some text characters are not available
- not user friendly menu
- the light of flash is not so good, not like in SE W550i
- wire of earphone is so long
- mini sd card is not included in the package
but despite of its cons, i still like the phone. for me, it better than nokia, samsung, motorola and SE phones.
i bought it in MP3 Express in Ever Recto (Phils) at P10,400 only.
with all the opinions ive read, im interested to buy one. however, how many messages it can store? does sent messages saved? and is there caller identification even in message received just like SE? In inbox, do i have to go to message details for info of the text?tnx. hope anyone can answer.
Hi all, can some body post/share some pictures captured using V80. And if its user manual available in english... please share that too. I could find only chinese manual from asus website. thanks.
...and considering the hassle for waiting more than 2 weeks.. miss ko na agad yon phone haha.. I certainly believe that it should be replaced, rather than be repaired. But they told me that it all depends on what the people from the headoffice will decide..ang tagal nga lang ng prozeso...
have them both. the v80 & j208. For me, the winner is V80! why? 1. bigger & brighter LCD. 2. The stereo plug on it, compared to J208's usb stereo only. 3. FASTER & UPDATED user interface! for J208, don't know if asus will continue to update the firmware. 4. The BOOMBOX experience!hehhe. and the user customizable eq! 5. Voice command feat. Sadly, j208 lacks this one. 6. V80's photo light. J208 wala! 7. Lastly, dito lang panalao J208. The appearance/finish is superb compared to V80(more plastic looking). 7. Eto pa pala! panalo J208! Micro-sd hot-swap feat! 8. Hmmm...ano pa ba..wala na yata. baka yung iba dyan may inputs....9.oops...MAS-MURA PA, MASAYANG-MASAYA KA PA!HHEHHE, don't need to dig deeper in your pocket for a full multimedia phone!
yherwin: not at wellcom..I bought my unit at memo express...in sm north cyberzone..
yes, they are willing to replace the whole unit..they are familiar with me, they didnt eve ask me for the receipt...
but I kept it that way..khit wala ung rubber.nkapg lagay na kas ako ng mga songs e..
but in ur case, u have to let that replaced..its covered under warranty..u have to assert for that..It is a must that they answer you for the defective unit they sold you..
just wanna ask you guys about your opinions regarding ASUS V80 compared to ASUS J208..
hi to all!need a help here...im trying to upgrade my firmware to ver 4.11 but it wont work.do i need to install first the cd software (handset manager) that comes with the package before i go with the upgrade process? god bless!!!
Hi all, i bought this phone becoz of the gud feedback i've read and i'm not disappointed. the phone is gud and the features are okei..the rubber on my joystick was also removed the other day i bought it but its okei.. i just kept the rubber and i was able to adjust to joystick without the rubber and still works fine..i feel even comfortable using the joystick without the rubber..not a big deal for me :p
question: can this be used as an ebook reader? can it support .txt or even .html files? please help i really want this phone....
Jhun: Really? at wellcom? did they immediately replace the unit without asking? Coz when i took my unit it had even 3 defects, namely the rubber thing peeling, a sticky "6" key, and a non-centered flash. They said they still have to bring the unit to the headoffice for inspection. And only after that they will decide if it is for repair or replacement. the whole process might take at least 2 to 3 weeks. kaya yon... badtrip!! haha malas ko tlga
it seems that the rubber on top of the joystick is the common problem in this phone...mw and my fried bought the same unit..after a day the rubber on top of his phone's joystick was removed, although its used normally, and the next day mine was also removed...
its a simple flaw but once overlooked it might discourage customers..
suggestion: dont glue it back..return the unit and the rubber on top of the joystick and they will relace the whole handset..
the rubber in my joystick has been remove. i tried to used a super glue. only 3/4 of the rubber is stuck, & i can't remove it. do you have any idea on how can i remove that?? please help me..
can this phone be used as USB modem? will wait for your replies thanks
