Can all of you stop whining on about receiving Marshmallow update. It is certain that the Zenfone 2 Laser/Deluxe/Max has been pushed to Android Marshmallow. You should all be pressuring ASUS to push Android Nougat to these phones and to make sure they don't worm their way out by dropping support for the Zenfone 2.

varaprasad.chinna, 01 Jul 2016is good to update marshmallow .can plz say is it safeSmooth like butter.. more bloatware removed vs lollipop. I run the update from o.t.a. after first run, do a factory reset. The phone has good auto start manager. And very good firewall.. from asus mobile manager> data usage> control app data usage and select which apps connect the net. Ruining marshmallow since 25 May.. so, go for it!

Joe, 27 Jun 2016There's anything else that u think i shouldn't update this phone...? I'm sorry because I reall... moreThe only really noticeable change is the removal of most of the Asus bloatware. I am not using an SD card so I do not have the problem of losing apps2sd which is an Android change, not an Asus one. If you upgrade follow this: Upgrade to M, factory reset, update all apps. I did that and experienced no problems.
After much research I bought this phone a week ago and so far I am VERY pleased. I live in Cebu City, Philippines and had a difficult time finding one, every store was out of stock, only carrying the 5.5" version which I did not want. Finally found 1 at Aerophone in SM City. They had 3 in stock and to my surprise they all had 2gb/32gb and 13mp camera! Much better specs than on Asus Philippines web site. I got it for 6500P which I consider a very good deal.
First thing I did was upgrade to Marshmallow, then factory reset, then upgrade all apps. With this process I experienced none of the problems others have reported. Everything is working great. I really like the included headphones and music player with equalizer. First time I have experienced real base with a smart phone. My music library sounds great and I am loving that. I also like the camera and the camera app.
My wife has a Galaxy A3 (almost 3 times the price) and she is jealous of my phone! For the price I HIGHLY recommend this phone.
