Yes the battery life is better by which it has 2070 mAh Li-Polymer under gaming it has 5-7 hours of good battery life.

for your proximity sensor issue check if scratch guard is proper, update Asus calling screen App, update your device firmware version. For camera issue update camera app to the latest version, reboot to recovery & wipe cache partition.
for battery issue try Asus auto start manager & Asus Power saver App

Check from your seller even the looks are the same but specs and priceare different they can cheat you that this is 13 mp although it just 8mp please check physically before buy

My asus zenfone 2 laser 5.0 (ze500kl) is exactly the same info as in this site. It's a good phone and good battery too.

ya ZE500KL has 2070mah battery and ZE550KL has 3000mah battery the difference in price is only 200Rs, one is 9799 and other one is 9999
