Don't get trap into the laser branding. The laser autofocus only works for distance less than or equal to 50cm. Otherwise camera and phone itself is great.

I had a talk with asus talk.
Ways to update firmware MANUAL Way
1) go to support.asus.com>>click on download>>enter serial number>> select android as the os>>clik on firmware
2) Your have to download ww_1.11.40.29 from global link(similarly for the second update)
3) after downloading, unzip it
4) copy the files in to the internal phone memory
5) when you restart the phone it will automatically prompt to install the updates
But the important thing is that the size of file is 1.66 GB while folks who downloaded on phone via auto update feature was of 409 MB size. This seems something strange to me

I... moreSeeing conflicts on your comments here and on your comments at lenovo discussion pages. My cousin brought lenovo, not able to read telugu fonts from whatsapp, but my asus is doing that. Any idea on this? I had raised this same question there too.

mohsin, 23 Sep 2015fed up with the phone call sensor is a not working at all. and their no god support vteam of asus. Switch off the phone (power off) and wait for 2 minutes. Again switch it ON, after boot open the calculator and type .12345+= it will open a utility named SMMI TEST, select 'single test' and choose 'proximity test'. Follow the procedure as per the test and check your proximity sensor. If the test pass, we can conclude that your hardware is fine and you can continue using the phone. If it fail, ping flipkart and seek for help. According to me it should work.

Downloaded 327 mb OTA update .........camera clarity improved drastically and feels like a premium camera device at 10 k ........Also still no update to 5.1.1..........waiting for android M...6.0....hope this comes soon to new laser....

It is really GREAT. It's running smoothly without any trouble all function are doing very well.
There was some issues in beginning but company sorted it in very short time by giving 3 updates quickly.
It was the first phone with so many advance specifications at lower price & everyone have to change their views & had to follow directions taken by LENOVO K note 2.
