To be honest, the battery is the only down-low of this phone. All the rest is very good.
I have a limited use of my cellphone and even though the battery drains so much fast!
It is so frustrating! It goes off around 6-7 hours of a very limited usage...
I hope they can fix this very soon!
Guys is the fast battery drain issue occurring only after the firmware update
raj, 16 Jul 2015i want to buy this phone............. is it worth the price or is it a bad phone? Except camera & bactery......its super......must buy 2.3ghz 4gb ram......top model 32gb storage.....
I bought a zenfone 2 ze551ml 4GB ram 64GB memory...barely 2 weeks old when I encountered an issue. Instead of going to sleep mode it restarts itself. Done updating and factory reset still has issue. Its now with the service center.

rishi, 16 Jul 2015Which is better between Samsung Galaxy E7, Asus Zenfone 2 and Lenovo S90?? Please help me de... moreLenovo s90 has no card slot, I believe. And it has almost same specs with Galaxy E7. If you're more concerned on the design, go for either E7 or S90. I'd say between the two, E7 is better still. These phones can still play games like GTA or Asphalt but with the graphics controlled. And if you're playing or switching between games, it would definitely lag and at times close some apps. Camera of both phones ranges from average to above average. But if you're more concerned on the performance, then ZF2 is better. The other two phones has Snapdragon 615 (if I'm not mistaken), and ZF2 is powered by intel processor which could compete with the higher end Snapdragon 800. You could actually buy a metal casing (armor) for ZF2 if you want that premium look on your device.
Good phone but I only dislike that because it cannot replace battery, baterry is integrated in the phone...
Just bought my ZF 2 2GB 1.8GHZ ZE551ML, 3 days ago. And im excited!! The battery backup is a huge relieve from my previous zenfone 5, performace is outstanding even in the 2gb model. Ive seen a lot of comparizon video, and found that one plus one to be its closest rival. Well battery life has never been the strong point of ASUS, but still i fall in love. Because ZF2 offers the balance between cost, performance, battery life, and last but not least, STORAGE EXPANSION! i admit that i had my doubts with Xiaomi mi4i before making my decision. But now i am happy that i made the right one ! Love asus!

I will have to agree with FIRE, my ZF2 (2GB RAM model) battery only last an average of 5-6hrs only. My main usage is mostly connecting to internet thru wifi or data-connection (3G/4G), coz I need it whenever I play Clash of Clans. I understand games and data-connection on internet are battery-hungry applications on our mobile phones, but, comparing the 3000mAh battery of the ZF2 with my old Alcatel mobile of 1500mAh only, I'd say they're almost fairly last at the same rate. So, I'm a bit disappointed with the battery performance of the ZF2 as I expect that 3000mAh will last me for a day, but it doesn't. I have to charge my phone atleast twice a day with my usage but other than the battery issue of this phone, all other aspects of the ZF2 is really awesome and fantastic. I just hope that future firmware or software updates may somehow fix the issue.
snsn, 15 Jul 2015is this cdma also?no it does not have cdma. Although it is being sold in the US, it only works with GSM carriers such as AT&T or T-mobile but it will NOT work on Sprint or Verizon.
