Krish, 03 Jun 2015Realy??ive recently orderd da handset 4m flipkart....OMG ive evn paid my hard earnd money!!The phone itself is worth it. I just dislike asus making false advertising. Yes its indeed 64-bit processor but why release it with a 32-bit lolipop? It makes the whole 64-bit pointless.
RustyZ, what did you have before, and how does it compare with that?
Regarding the LPOP update to version 5.1, an ASUS official forum (ZenTalk) admin commented that the update is planned and under construction (see: http://www.asus.com/zentalk/data/attachment/forum/201506/03/173818z5lq1lusil6u8ilc.jpg.thumb.jpg)
BTW, I've working with the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML for a week now and I'm very pleased.

Does anyone in here have the Zenfone 2 coupled with H2O here in the states?
Yes they updated zenfone 4,5,6 with lollipop but its version 5.0 only, the worst version of lollipop. They have so much time to release it with 5.0.2 but didn't bother to. I doubt they will release 5.1.1 for zenfone 2, they even trick us with the 64-bit processor but bundled it with a 32-bit lollipop OS so basically its useless hopefully they will release a 5.1.1 64bit lollipop in the future I'm really just upset with asus for tricking their customers

Since zenfone 4,5 and 6 just got lollipop update, I would say zenfone 2 would get 5.1.1 in 3 to 4 months time. I would be surprise if they provide the update sooner since zenfone 2 is one of the most anticipated budget phone for 2015 with 4gb ram, powerful SOC and huge storage space (64gb).

After years of using Nexus phones I moved to the Asus Zenfone ZE551ML 64GB.
THe phone by itself is a good phone. A few glitches here and there but manageable. What however is unmanageable is the lack of Android OS updates by Asus. I would have expected a 5.1.1 update by now, but the phone is still on 5.0
Other than that the bloatware on the phone degrades the experience a bit. I have moved to using Nova Launcher in place of the Asus zen launcher. The Nova launcher is a better option.
All that I can say for prospective buyers is this... "Beware of buyng this phone, you will rarely get OS updates"
