faisal khan, 21 Feb 2015Just wanted to know the price of this smartphone and its launch date and wheather its possible... moreOK, faisal. First off, contrary to what people are saying here, the price of this phone is UNDEFINED as of yet. However, our best bet right now is the preorder price from certain retailers: $300 for 2GB and $440 for 4GB variant. As for availability, this will vary by country, some sooner and some later.
Just wanted to know the price of this smartphone and its launch date and wheather its possible to book in advance.
Pls note that all "preorders" like the one in ali express are for 64gb internal memory which is usual
Hardik, 20 Feb 2015Yup.....disappointed by this decision by asus. These prices are NOT from Asus, they are from third poarty venders who charge more for "pre orders" then when the phone is released they buy them for the lower retail price and ship them out to the people who got suckered into paying more for "pre-ordering" them.
M0DERATOR, 21 Feb 2015The 5.5"inch variant for 2 GB is priced at $300 and the 4 GB variant is priced at $440, a... moreThird party resllers pushing "pre-orders" for the phone has NOTHING to do with the actual price the phones will sell for Asus. Asus is the only source for pricing and they announced at CES and their twitter the price of the 5.5" 2gb 1080p variant will be $199. You guys need to stop spreading false information and do some.. you know.. journalism.

And I can't believe all the websites running these stories claiming the price is higher than expected and then providing a third party reseller (with their "pre -order" price) as a source, lol.

And there is very slight hope that they will release the Snapdragon and Intel chipset integrated device here, in India.

ze550ml got sale 200$ ???
asus mobile increasing the price then every one can't purcheas @ any country.they r making fool to all in march also they can't launch the mobile.
if asus is going to sell asus zenfone 2 5.5inch for $300 then i definitely say that indians will go for samsung s4 is available at price tag of 18k.
I cannot believe there are so many people don't understand the role of the reseller here. The price is clearly not correct. Please stop this bs, until asus update you with the price.
Faiyez, 20 Feb 2015Hard to believe people here continue to engage in self-deception after all is said and done. T... moreNo one has deluded themselves. YOU and Gsmarena and other sites are reporting bad information. if you notice no site gives a source at Asus all they do is give a link to a phone RESELLER. You and I can be a reseller and charge any price we want for "pre orders". the buy them for the cheap price and ship them out to the fools who paid too much money for them. Asus has CONFIRMED at CES AND on their Twitter that the 5.5" 2gb 1080p 16gb variant will be $199 USD. Get a clue before you talk nonsense. The world is changing, Big Screen TV's used to cost thousands, now they cost penny's on the dollar. Same thing is happening with cell phones.

They get fools to "pre order" the phone before it goes on sale and charge a lot more for it. Then when it comes out, they buy them for cheap.. and ship them out to fools who paid a lot more then they are worth.

Asus can change pricing anytime they want, day or night, seven days a week. They can double the price, triple the price, cut the price in half, whatever.
