It's eno... moreIf you want to carry around a second battery you may want to consider a battery bank instead. There are some 6000mAh battery bank that are not bigger than an iphone5s, so you could fully charge a big 3000mAh battery atleast 2 times per day. But lets be honest, if you need to fully recharge your phone 2 times per day, you're doing something wrong. By the way its a 200$ phone, they have to cut corner somewhere so if the radio has to go to save cost ..... thats really not a big deal. Why would listen to the radio anyway when you can stack your whole music library on your phone .. and its not like you cant have acces to the radio online via wifi or LTE/4G.
No radio...? seems to me like we're heading backwards. Also, a non-removable battery? It's enough batteries die out quick, people buy an extra battery for that reason, and now you're taking away the option to swap batteries!? not a good idea.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2015IPS display with Intel chip set consume Lots of power, SO in this asus need to think moor High... moreThe previous gen Intel processors like the one in Zenfone 5 was based on 32nm process which meant it was not efficient and was a big battery drainer compared to Snapdragons which were based on 28nm. The new generation Intel chipsets like the one here on the other hand are based on 22nm process and is a lot more efficient which means 3000mah is more than enough to keep the phone running for a long time.

Link to a hands on of that version.
Who would care about the model 550? ... sorry - not me. I expect a high-end smartphone but I seriously doubt that than cost value will be less than $299. To be honest - it won't be cheap for sure
