Plastic at the sides, just between the unit face and back cover (where locks are located) easily breaks. Camera does not work anymore even when i reset the phone. Dismayed user :(
Battery runs out quickly, if it has 20% of the screen will die .. I have been using this phone 8 months .. I am afraid to use the camera for fear of fast battery runs out ..

I used the phone for 1 year now, I like it very much. This phone are most suitable for gamers who want the low price with high gaming specification, Yup the camera below level of iphone, samsung and sony. Asus best

I'm really happy by my phone (model 16GB/2GB) bought in USA. Everything works well in my side. No battery issue, no camera issue... I used it for 1 year now.
Asus rules , my zenfone 2 is very goof, fast and reliable and pictures are really good
Very bad mobile always hardware and software problem. I advise u to dont buy any thing for asus brand. International standard should baned this brand. Completely wastage of money.

Camera is absolutely hopeless. Snapping picture during the daylight was great. But you might as well just keep your phone in your handbag if you are planning to snap any pictures at night. Night mode is totally hopeless.
Don't waste money on Asus Zenfone 2. I bought this phone (4G Ram, 16G Storage) in Hong Kong (August 2015, HKD 1999 =CAD 330). The phone was manufactured in June 2015. I was told there was a one year warranty without mentioned it only applied locally (i.e. in HK only). In May 2016, the phone kept on vibrating and warm and the battery was drained in 10 minutes. I went to Asus Computer International in Toronto and asking for repair under warranty (the phone only last for 9 months). The answer was the phone was purchased in HK and Asus Canada is not going to honour the warranty and I have to pay CAD 253 to replace the motherboard and the repair is only guarantee for 90 days. What a joke? I can buy a NEW one for less and with one year warranty. I also bought in Dec 2015 Zenfone 2 Laser in Toronto and no one mentioned the warranty is only apply in Canada. Buyer beware if you are travelling all the time in and out of the country with this phone. The battery life of Zenfone 2 is bad. For the first 4 months, it can last about 9 hours for every charges. Lately, it only last about 4 hours. I have no faith in ASUS anymore. Their products do not last because I have Asus Laptop and the hard drive did not last for 2 years and I have to replace it.

I buy from a mobile phone shop which is quite popular in my country (Malaysia) called DirectD. They open a total of 5 sets of phone because they couldn't open the other 4 even they charge it overnight. So the 5th set finally ons and so far so good no problem at all. Try ask to change for a new set til its on.
Dont buy Asus Phone .....customer support is very bad...and phone quality is too much bad....if you want to waste your money then go for it.
The screen lasted only 10 months and then started flickering with vertical stripes making it not usable. Search on Google results in finding that it is a common problem. Looks like Asus messed up with the screen on this phone. Very bad for CAD 400/- phone.
Contacted Asus support for their Advanced Replacement Program, received an email again that Asus support person made mistakes and will be trained and I need to resubmit the request. I resubmitted it. It is already more than a week since I called Asus support for the first time and several times after that with no proper status on the case. A hold is already put on my credit card by Asus for USD 324 though.
I would not suggest anyone buying this phone.
Very sad for not having a proper Support in Australia, the closest support center indicated by the Asus Support in Perth was located in Hong Kong!
