Anonymous, 07 May 2016I'm preparing to buy a phone, which is better '? this phone, or Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE601KL ... moreI owned both of them Asus zen 2 ze551ml and Asus zen laser ze601kl. In my opinion Asus zen 2 ze551ml is still the best. Otherway it was the flagship phone from Asus.

which is better '? this phone, or Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE601KL ... moreThis ofc. I have been using this phone for one week and I have no complaints, tested Mortal Kombat X and no lags appeared. Even the switching between the game and home screen is very fluent either way. So the ram is pretty good.
Camera could be better like the one on Zenfone Selfie which has laser autofocus. White balance is not the best and you can end up with shining grass on a sunny day. Front camera is good for selfies.
Battery life is ok for 5.5 inch full hd display and lasts a whole day(from charging in the morning to 9pm in the evening with playing games for atleast one hour, also the mobile data is always on. I hope that marshmallow will further extend battery life.
Display is sharp and has very good viewing angles but it's too goddamn dark in the direct sunlight.
Design is very good but one thing I don't like is the placement of the power button which is on top of the device. I often put my phone in the pocket and when I tie the shoe for the example I accidentally restart it. It irritates mr a lot because they copied the lg for the volume buttons on the back of device and they didn't do the same thing for power button. Anyway, the curved back is good for the hand. The mask on the back feels like cheap plastic but looks great.
Performance is the essential part of this phone and this device nails it. It's a shame that this phone doesn't have dual window multitasking. Aside from that I don't know why software takes 2.5 gb of ram even after cleaning with preinstalled tool. Maybe that's just zenUI being too heavy.
Software comes with zenui skin and it has a lot of customization. Bloatware is everywhere.
Just to be clear I took this phone after Lg p710 so everything is so good.
i have this zenfone 2 4gb ram.. so far so good.. no lags no hang i have so many hd games.. the camera is good 64gb is quiet big for me.. im using this phone for 4months..

my asus zenfone 2 is not working properly and when i typing the screen was jumping and hanging
AnonD-534292, 06 May 2016i was planning to buy an asus zenfone 2 2.3Ghz,4 ram and 32 gb but i saw a lot of bad comments... moreMoto X Play will the best choice till date under 19K
I've owned this phone more or less since launch. I find it to be a wonderful phone, but not perfect. The biggest complaint I have is the screen brightness. In most places it's acceptable, but outdoors in bright sunlight it can be a bit hard to see.
The phone came with a lot of pre-installed bloatware which I was able to remove once I rooted the phone. Thankfully this was quite straight forward.
I find the ZenUI to be intuitive and easy to use, and prefer it to stock android. The phone also has a "simple" mode which is probably useful for less tech savvy customers.
The camera is quite acceptable, perhaps not as good as some other phones, but it will take good photos for a happy snap without problem. The Panoramic setting can make some quite wonderful shots and the software is excellent for stitching the photos together. The in built photo editor is good enough to colour correct and crop photos on the go before uploading.
The 4gb of ram and 64gb storage space has been wonderful. I've never had a problem with slowdown or running out of space. And this is after I've loaded it up with cbr comic files, mp3s, and apps. That said, I do have a SD card in there which I put movies on from time to time if I'm traveling.
The battery life is slightly lower than I would like, but still acceptable. Using the phone for standard use (standby, the odd facebook and email, maybe a quick game for 5mins) you should get 10hrs without to much hassle. I consider this fine, as it means a "workday" worth of charge. If however you're using it more intensely then the battery becomes an issue. I personally own a solar powered battery pack so if I'm traveling and using my phone to watch a movie, the battery pack solves that issue.
Finally the case should be noted. The Zenfone has an optional case you can buy that gives you a circular cutout to access apps without unlocking your phone. Flashlight, music player, calendar, clock, quick photo are all available. I find this quite convenient. Allowing song skip or pause without even having to unlock the phone is very handy. And finding the correct key at night with a quick flashlight from the phone is very useful.
Overall, the phone is easy to use, easy to navigate, comfortable, big screen and despite a few flaws, has been a delight to use.
