The phone's hardware isn't the issue, Stock ROM is terrible.. flash it with CM12.. and it works like it should be.

Do not buy ASUS ZenFone2, many many problem, lot and lot of problem, keep going down to the service centre, many intermittent problem cannot be solved, if you buy , I am 100% confident you will regret. . . You have be warn. . .
4gb ram ...hahahaha ,phone performance is like 1 gb ram phone ,Samsung s duos is much better than this phone, so many issue,s are in this phone .my phone is only 2 day,s old and its restarting 10 times in 2day,s.

I buy Zenfone 2 (4GB RAM & 32 GB ROM). After one month i found that its working working properly. Camera issue i faced. After replacement another same phone i got, same problem this one. And one more replacement new same phone i got , but another many problem with same phone. So friends please don't waste your money for buy this. Its so poor product.
There is no separate datadata partition. Application data included in the userdata partition (so ~13GB user available storage for the 16GB model, et cetera).
As they always say.. You get what paid for. Bought this unit ZE550ML months ago, specs and its low price were very attrachtive. You're lucky if you don't encounter zenfone 2 issues.
First problem of thi model: Suddenly shutsdown and stucked at black screen with USB logo. I went to the service centre and waited for 5 days for them to replace the motherboard.
Second problem 2 months after the first issue. Screen navigates by itself, lots of lags because of memory leakage. Updates and factory reset doesn't help. So I have it sent to the service centre again. now just waiting for it to be repaired.
over all storage memory is 32gb but how much available for applications.
terrible device. Always having problems. Memory management is very bad so 2G is never enough even if one doesn't install much apps. The device comes with a lot of bloatware which takes a lot of space and cannot be uninstalled and that's why there is not enough memory. The device becomes very slow and needs even freezes and needs to be restarted in order to get it to respond. The camera is bad. It's a very slow camera and the only way to get a fast reaction is by turning off the automatic focus. The video camera is flickering when taking a video in a room lighting. Sometimes the upper part of the screen flickers too for no apparent reason. I would not recommend this device to anyone. Even if the price is very low, it still doean't worth the price. I'm sorry I ever bought it.

For WI-Fi - Make sure the signal bars are full, do not download anything else on the same network, check if the device is closer to the router
For Mobile Network - Make sure the signal bars are full, switch between 2G/3G from mobile network settings, check with the network provider if there is some known issues
