poonam, 26 Dec 2014My asus zenfone 4 (a400cg) is not starting. its booting up continusly. im tring up to 2h but ... moreSame case. Your android system has corrupted. Try hard reset by holding vol up + power button, hold it until you see some options, use volume button to navigate through options, choose factory reset (warning: it will erase all internal memory data) press power to accept, wait the android reinstalling (it may take 5 minutes), DONT REMOVE THE BATTERY, done.
My zenfone 4 battery is never draining even in 3g mode. My device is only charging once per day. You may have to force stop all unused apps manually to save battery. Restart your phone to recycling ram.
p.s: there is something wrong with the software update. The update is always destroy my phone. That i could do was resetting my phone by holding vol up + power button to boot normally
Does the screen really crack easily? Like, at knee height or after a few bumps? This is the only thing that's holding me back from buying this unit.
AnonD-341876, 15 Dec 2014Hello, i desired to buy asus 4 but this my first android mobile, i am confused its lot of revi... morehallo Kumar3, this phone has less battery back up comparatively. But there are ways to withhold battery juice.
If you follow that , then the battery charge will run for around two and half to three days.
First location services and auto syncing should be off.
second smart saving function should be on in ultra saving mode .
third u cant find in the phone . but i m telling how you do find in the phone .
Go to setting>About>software information >build number.
click on build number 5 times continously . now it will tell you that now you are a Developer.
now open setting again and u will find the option of "developer option" at bottom side .
open it and find "set background process" at bottom side ,open and "set it two or one."
now done . it will increase your battery life from 4 hours to 8 hours. battery would not drain automatically even in stand by mode .

priyadarshan, 23 Dec 2014mobile gets hang while messaging and going to contacts, sick battery, battery gets hot,no user... moreTo reduce the heating problem, always keep both sims on 2g only. And when high speed browsing is required switch to 3g. Keep wifi, blutooth, gps etc off when not in use. Switching on powersaving option also helps reduce heating problem
mobile gets hang while messaging and going to contacts, sick battery, battery gets hot,no user friendly software.
The performance is good. Like an expensive smartphones. But the problem is the battery life.
If zenfone 4 has a score of out of 10 , 9-10...
-1 is the battery life.
Try to update all apps.
Because many apps are in the asus. Such as google apps and asus apps. All of these app are not updated so it affect the battery life.
People are complaining about the battery life.. If you have several apps running in the background, then you can expect that the battery life will not last more than a day. I have this phone for 3 days now and so does my brother. He has apps (facebook, kakaotalk, pou, and so on) we both had fully charged our phones at noon and before the evening was out he was already at 43% while my phone was still at 87%. I only installed Battery Doctor that that's it.
This phone is good for regular usage (call, text, and photos, musicand other lite tasks) but unless you know how to disable useless apps running in the background and know how to conserve battery powerlike reducing brightness, disabling wifi, bluetooth and other programs that are not needed, then you better stay away from this phone.
