well, indeed it supports up to lollipop 5.0.2, but no support for marshmallow, it has poor battery life, and freezes a lot, yet it's a best phone for it's price.
The design copied from iphone 5 size, if you wanna have a phone that's usable for casual use like social networking and chatting plus listen some music and radio, it's more than good.
FYI: use lollipop fw for better performance, but has less space after update. kitkat has bigger space, but major bug like not able to write on SD when app needs to. battery life on kitkat are worse than on lollipop. wish asus builld a 5.1.1 version of android for this device.

5 minutes in Facebook and it always crashes. Says "Unfortunately, Facebook has stopped." I don't know if the problem is the app or phone. Please someone help me.

Why my asus zenfone4 jumps the music when connected to a external speakers like edifier and id try it on youtube while playing music the music mutes then unmute but the video is completely playing. Olease help me to solve this

Asus brand is better than any other company.....I use zenfone 4 only for gaming,though some high quality games are not supported to this device or some heavy games make my phone slow but anytime it doesn't hang,and all apps running smoothly.......So,those who don't know how to use android,they hate this phone and this series of zenfone.....It has a only one problem of battery.......Otherwise everything is good......

It was great for quite a while. But after a year of using it, I had problems with my Wi-Fi Connections.For some reasons, I can't connect to internet though I have a stable connection. Does anyone had same issues? Or is it just me? What should I do to solve this? Thanks :)

I have used it for almost 2 years. No problems, except battery drains very fast, when the screen is on. I don't use it for games, so no comment on that. Most apps works well, handly any lag.

Best phone. Full of inovation. Unlike the other brand that always abandon their update phone after its model has few user.
And also,asus more often update their system and built in application like clock,calculator,note,camera,keyboard,calendar,contact,message just by google playstore.very easly (Diff with other brand, only update their built in app came together with framework and its seldom)
to be Honest, when the first time i use this phone . Same like u guys. But it seems asus keep consistent to fix everything and keep care with the update until this phone reach the final stable.(you held experiment phone guys.but it getting better and better)
*My sugestion : Try to update your zenfone 4 to lolipop (cause it more stable.more faster.and less consume battery). u can download it on their website
-after update. factory reset your phone!!. If u're not doing it. Your phone will often hang and consume so much battery because there are something crash in the background
-after u factory reset. Your phone will keep on screen clockboot. i know It take a little bit long ,but that not mean your zenfone error just wait it.
-after done. Try to root your zenfone (u can find it on google) my purpose root is to integrate every updated app system into mount system.because asus more often update their system than the other brand , second reasons is to make my app "SD Maid (Cleaner)"more effisient
*if u're not doing it.your internal storage will full because when you updated system , it stay in your internal. And it cause your system not stable.sometime crash.consume speed and battery.
-after root. Download link2sd (this app help u to integrate app system into system) just tap : short by type-recently updated-tap on app that had updated warning-tap integrate update into system-reboot
afterthat download sd maid and clean the garbage system like odex. etc
-keep following every update by check it on google playstore-installed app.
to make your zenfone getting better and better

The battery on this phone is the worst. Otherwise it a good phone, reliable one..
P.s the camera suck and it's doesn't get enough love from the manufacturer and Android community..
