Mobilemaster, 18 Aug 2017Asus usually don't disable Fm radio. In Iphone could also be radio, but it is disabled.Hope the next zenfone series will not disable fm radio
I must congratulate Asus for coming up with this phone. It isn't perfect but it has three (3) unique selling points other flagship snapdragon 835 phones from Oneplus, LG, Pixel and Samsung DO NOT HAVE.
1. It is the only snapdragon 835 phone with IR blaster (very rare)!
2. It is the only snapdragon 835 phone with FM radio (very rare)!
3. It is the only snapdragon 835 phone with a sizable 3600mAh battery (rare)! This is the second largest battery among snapdragon 835 phones announced so far (next to the S8 active's 4000mAh). Coupled with a modest 1080p display, it should be the LONGEST LASTING snapdragon 835 phone in existence and will probably score very high if not the highest in benchmark tests. This is in addition to the usual, very common flagship features: dual cameras, sd card, dual sim, 4k video, OIS, 3.5mm jack, USB C.
Hopefully it also comes with slimport support. I just wish though a variant of the Zenfone 4 PRO is released with bigger (5000mAh+) battery and bigger (6.0"+) screen in the same 16:9 aspect ratio with no curved glass edges like in the S8+.
I saw in one video on youtube that Zenfone 4 pro has an FM radio (2nd notofication screen) what is great. Ordinary Zenfone 4 either.
Do not use the word "pro"
because asus phone is not a pro is ancient models
hardwares, 18 Aug 2017But is a flagship phone not a mid range or low rangeAsus usually don't disable Fm radio. In Iphone could also be radio, but it is disabled.
hardwares, 17 Aug 2017Still have fm radio for SD835?Of course, companies are shutting doown fm radio, because they wants you to use Internet Radio, which is not for free(unless you have Wireless connection).
After samsung remove their ir blaster, now many phone from china manufactur use it. Hahahah.
AnonD-692289, 15 Aug 2017Pixels don't mean performance. #BecauseIts2017the number of pixels is not always the basis of a good camera. remember that. do some research bro
AsusTech, 17 Aug 2017iPhone-ish back with Samsung-ish front? I don't see any Asus-ish thing with this ZenFone, LoLASUS moving Zenfone 3 FP sensor on back body to front body of Zenfone 4, Glow effect like on Zenfone 3, Dual Cam based place based Zenfone Zoom S. (Ya maybe ASUS should be place back camera to center back body so no more copycat but still haters will say "weird replacement camera".),side metal body based Zenfone 3 and FYI, Even Nokia 8 is looks like Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. So it should not suprising.
AsusTech, 17 Aug 2017iPhone-ish back with Samsung-ish front? I don't see any Asus-ish thing with this ZenFone, LoLDon't forget that this phone has the exact specs as OP5 lol.
SD835, no IP certified & FHD amoled display.
The most important thing is new ZenUI 4.0, which the company says is simpler, more intuitive, as well as "modern and gorgeous".
iPhone-ish back with Samsung-ish front? I don't see any Asus-ish thing with this ZenFone, LoL
Finally, a good looking smart phone from Asus! Well done!
I hope though, the next one will be smaller. :)
I am on the market for a new phone right now. I need a dual sim, however here in Canada, dual sims are not available much. Most are imports with no warranty. I can however get Zenfone 3 at Best Buy, Staples or Memory Express.
My top contenders right now are Galaxy S8, LG G6, Xperia XZ Premium, But like I said, all are black imports with no Canadian Warranty.
When I saw that Zenfone 4 Pro is supposed to come with the Snapdragon 835 I got excited. I really want an IP rated phone. So let's see if Zenfone 4 will have that and what the price point in Canada will be.
Currently Zenfone 3 will be $429. The LGG6 import will be $580. S8 import is $780.
