I recently bought this phone, it is simply awesome. I have both moto g(2nd gen) and Zenfone 5, but believe me ZF5 is way better in performance, design, camera and just everything. Price at 9999 inr it surely is a steal deal...

sadhu, 08 Nov 2014Will it support full hd!!!!yes,
to you surprise, i even ran 4K resolution videos on this
emtz, 08 Nov 2014how to do that? 2 days without internet connection and let it standby maybe it can. if you use... moreInstalled permissions manager, looked at the Battery to find out what apps were killing the battery, of which Google Play Services were far the biggest offender, followed by Facebook messenger and app...
Opened permissions for each of these apps and found out what permissions not only they had but also used. I deemed many of those being nothing that app should be using, so I shut them down.
Amongst them were access to microphone, camera, location, my call history and SMS/MMS contents, etc.
Where I wasn't sure, I set it to ask every time, so I could determine when it uses it.
That has doubled my battery life alone.
I am on 2.20 Kitkat beta release, have 2 SIMs (1x 850/2100 MHz 3G SIM, 1x 1800 MHz 2G SIM), connected to an N+ range Netgear router at home, and using 3G outside. Signal of both of them is full at all the times with the tower being 5-10m from me.
Screen is set to automatic brightness, with slider in the centre, with default battery saving (middle) option chosen.
I am not a gamer, but I do use it for 3x email (Exchange, Yahoo and Gmail), Line, What'sApp, Viber, sometimes Skype.
I also read news on it, and use it for appointments (calendar sync with Exchange).
Sometimes I use it for photography, but not much if any for video.
What else... there is a 64 GB Sandisk micro-SD card, class 10 - U1 plugged in as well, where all the photos/videos/music/movies go.
There are some movies on it as well, but it's been ages since I watched any on it. For that, screen is still too small, prefer the 84" TV for that.
Charging is done from Samsung Galaxy 2 charger, which has 2.5A and takes 2-3 hours.
Right now, I have taken phone off charger 1 day and 6 hours ago, and have 59% of battery remaining.

Is anyone facing the similar problem of wifi not getting connected sometimes?
Hi friends i have been using this phone for about a month. Battery backup is really gud with lots of phone calls, music, internet surfing and some gaming it lasts for about 17-18hrs for me. The display and UI is really wonderful. Sometimes mobile tends to show some bugs. For me there are only 2 bugs..which i do face weekly or in every 3-4 days. That might be taken care in next update from ASUS.
The bugs are--
1.sometimes the network is gone it does not come back normally so i need to restart the phone.
2. Sometimes wifi does not detects or even connect to new or old wifi.
But it just does fine when i restart the phone. Mayb its some kind of a bug which is just making the network get stuck in something. but if i leave this two things aside than the phone is awesome no problems at all.
Its really wonderful for daily use. I really liked this phone hoping for bug fixes for my issues from asus. The gaming experience for me was just awesome. The mobile is just worth the price.
Fyi guys, For those who updated their android OS from jelly bean to KK and are now facing issues like the one related to keyboard...Asus will be releasing an update to fix the bugs in KK this end of November. We should expect this to roll out starting end of Nov and should receive it via OTA.
Let's just hope that the update that Asus will be releasing will fix all issues related to KK upgrade.
**This info came from Asus support.
