how to install kitkat, is is necessary do factory reset before update? If yes kindly tel me how?
Hi. I was wondering about the small hole at the bottom of the Zenfone 5, next to the usb port. It looks like a typical "hard reset" hole found on so many devices, which you typically push a paper clip into to reset in case said device hangs or becomes unresponsive. Is it the same for Zenfone 5? I tried googling this, but there seems to be no documentation. Even the official pdf Zenfone 5 manual, under "parts and features" does not provide a "label" for it though you can clearly see it in the picture. So what's that hole for?

wounded, 29 Oct 2014hey tomazz plz help me.. mobile data is not working
APN must be set manually to whatever the settings are for your telecom.
I don't know what your telecom would use. So please search for it online, or take it to their shop.
Generally APN settings include a number to "call" to activate data connection, and then username and password used, and an IP address or server connecting to.
State the name of the operator and possibly someone else here using the same one can help you with the settings.

As for SD card space - possibly data of your apps is stored on SD, as when space in internal memory fills up, Android starts automatically moving stuff off to SD to make more space in internal memory. Formatting SD card would wipe any apps and/or their data which you would notice as app icons greyed out in your app drawer.
Don't use app you describe in Q3 so can't comment
Ginzon, 30 Oct 2014Really, do you even own one..? What's the problem you face?
If you don't like it, you may b... moreWell "second class" would have been more accurate.
The premium series from Asus are Padfone series, and the "low end" are the Zenfone series.
That said, Asus offers a whole lot more than "low-end" name would suggest. In fact often more than mid-range and in some cases even premium phone series from competitors.
What we can't deny though, is that Zenfone was a result of taking Padfone, scrapping tablet part, and ordering engineering to make it 80% cheaper.
Apart from a few quirks that we could argue over (like removing LEDs under sensor buttons and weak amplifier chip), I think they've done an excellent job.
As for those who are only satisfied with expensive stuff that they can show off with, there's gold and diamond plated iPhone 6 available in Dubai duty free for 2.5 million dollars.
It certainly won't sell 10 million sets like Asus Zen did, though.

For low space on SD Card. Back up your data on external SD Card. Do factory Reset and Wipe Cache partition.
