bong , 08 Oct 2014Y Skype crush every time I call this application?Try the update of app, maybe some other app is interfering with it, or uninstall and reinstall it.
Eventually - what version of app are you using and what firmware are you on?
Maybe we can make a plan how to fix it from that.
mj1112, 08 Oct 2014hii i have got an update for around 449 mb is it the kitkat update?
Yes, that is OTA update of KitKat.
If you have done every update from 1.14.x then you can install it. If you did not, I would recommend you to install the full 800 MB update manually, then the battery fix.
That is, if you want KitKat. If you don't, stay with 220.127.116.11 you're on :)
mj1112, 08 Oct 2014hii i have got an update for around 449 mb is it the kitkat update? R u talking ABT 4.4.4 or 4.4.2??
Got a small OTA update to Kitkat which said about fixing power management issues.. Build Number 18.104.22.168...

The wording of last paragraph is bad. It does not mean if you have already installed it on Jelly Bean… If you did you likely can't boot the phone now and are searching for the service centre.
It means if you had KitKat and then loaded this update, to kill off apps and restart the phone.
And second - this is only for TOOJ phones. Do NOT try to load it into TOOF phone.
Knots, 08 Oct 2014Hi guys,
I just bought this phone last night and now im trying to update this to KITKAT but... moreKitKat update will be back after it's fixed. Under immense pressure from the users of the phone, a not thoroughly fixed version has been released of the software, just to meet the deadline given. But it really wasn't ready.
If you had new phone (no apps or strange settings), then KitKat would upgrade decently. Or if you restored from recovery partition to wipe all apps and settings after update.
But most people would not do that, and had loads of stuff already loaded - in that case the performance after update could be catastrophic.
That's why it was pulled and will be back after it is fixed. Personally I would have just asked users to make a backup of their settings, then wipe the phone clean, upgrade, then restore the backup in an automated script.
What Asus will actually do… no idea.
gravel, 08 Oct 2014At least asus could have retained the stock android kit Kat features of signal, wifi, battery a... moreDon't expect too much from this update, as it's likely "fixing" all the wrong things.
However, when you say about keeping the Google's stock features, that won't quite work, as those are written only for Nexus models. The others need their own libraries to support the hardware, especially Zen which is built on x86 rather than ARM platform.
I consider the KitKat size on Zen very small. In comparison, KitKat on the Samsung is over twice the size of the Zen's one.
