Picture tells a thousand words, they say, so hopefully this gives you the answers.
Sidenote: those photos were taken with the original firmware that came with the phone. It has been updated 2x since then, I am not sure if the updates changed the anything on camera.
I want to buy a smartphone?
But I am confused in between MOTO G & Asus Zenfone 5 8GB.
I have Some Question as below.
1. How is the quality of camera? I mean in Micromax if camera is 13MP, though when I am zooming a snap taken by it's camera, it losses it's resolution and becomes blurred photo.
2. How is it's performance according it's processor?
3. How is the hardware of this phone?
4. Is there any complaint from the users of this phone??
Please Help me to chose right phone.
Thanks in advance...
Is the cam as good as nokia lumia in daytime. I mean the brightness of the image.ie are there any shadow formation in the image.
It has inbuilt FM app...
Yes,Battery Backup is not very good if you install many apps. But overall built quality,Camera,Zen U.Ietc is very good.
Phone is awesome but there in no OTG. ASUS Please give OTG in kitkat update.
I had purchase zenfone5, its having problems, every time after wake up its ask your permission to read the contact even after click to don't show this message again.
In viber other caller facing very much eco problem could not talk on viber,
If use line in one time again show the problem and frequently we have to restart.
This is the worst phone I ever purchased,Might be not having proper quality control.

I just received a new software update on my zenfone..but its in chinese wording..any news on this new update?is it good or bad?
Tomazz, 21 Jul 2014Umm... disagree.
At least in Thailand, most youngsters no longer make any voice phone calls... moreAppreciate your insights into the usage part of it.
On the top frustration, I rooted the phone and with the tasker,I am downclocking to the phone to 800MhZ max for all the cores (when display off) and when the display is on ,I bring only 2 core(preferably from the same CPU) to 1.33MHz (maximum).
Touch response is good and duration in the Airplane mode and Standby mode is considerably improved.
susantpanda, 21 Jul 2014can someone who have tested 3g in this cell, please tell me how fast 3g net is working in this... moreI tested it right now, and I've tested it last night. Obviously now there are many people in this area, so the speed is lower than in the evenings, when most people pack up and move out of CBD.
Night time: 6.76 mbps / 3.62 mbps
A few min ago: 5.52 mbps / 1.77 mbps
A month ago when I first got it: 16.23 mbps / 1.20 mbps
This is not 15-30 kbps range. Admittedly it's not as fast as our telecoms claim the connections to be, but by no means lousy results either.
janz80, 21 Jul 2014I've noticed that battery consume quite high but it become normal when i remove sim2.use 1 sim... moreI'm using 2 SIMs but they are both on same frequency.
On another phone I am using 2 different frequencies on SIMs and battery life is considerably shorter.
Obviously 2 SIMs will burn more power than single SIM, but even with 2 SIMS from 2 different telecoms (in my case TrueMove-H used for calls and 3G, and DTAC, used only for voice, NO DATA) it still lasts, admittedly on light use, enough to be charged every other day.
Which is the same as Samsung Galaxy Note II, with TrueMove-H, and about equivalent use.
3 push emails, Line, WhatsApp, sometimes Skype, some calls, FaceBook, occasional camera.
imsebastinian, 21 Jul 2014I want this. But they don't have a FM Radio. Mine certainly does have FM radio.
I know so does ZenFone 4.
Where did you get information that it doesn't have it?
fwz, 20 Jul 2014Hello guys. I have been using this phone for about a month and i cannot use the waze properly,... moreMaybe someone else has, but my GPS is accurate to a couple of metres. So it could be issue with your phone. I would contact Asus support and at least ask them what to do.
How inaccurate is it?
Zaroon, 20 Jul 2014yea bro, but i prefer black. In flipkart only white is available. And white becomes dirty soon... moreAlthough I haven't seen it for sale yet, I am sure you'd be able to buy the back plate in any colour soon.
I've ordered the flip case (with that circular hole) and it comes with the new back plate as well.
My phone is white but the covers bought are white and black, so I'm using the black one right now.
This is a cheap knock-off of original Asus smart cover that costs 35$, this one costs like 10$, but both come with new back plate.
So I'd say it's just a matter of time before you could buy a spare one on eBay.
There are also tons of cases for the Zenfone on eBay from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, costing close to nothing, that fix the issue of the back plate getting dirty. Some protect it from drops and scratches as well.
I like Nillkin ones. They are of a very high quality and in 10$ price range.
Anonymous, 20 Jul 2014Sir,
Whole point of buying a phone is to meet a the primary need of making calls and if they ... moreUmm... disagree.
At least in Thailand, most youngsters no longer make any voice phone calls. They buy social media internet pack, which gives them unlimited use of Whatsapp, Facebook, Line, Instagram, etc. for 5$/month, and send messages to each other or use Line/Whatsapp for making calls.
Years back people did make voice calls most of the time, but that's long gone here.
So no, people no longer buy phones to make phone calls. They buy them for camera, music player, games console, TV on the go, social media interaction platform, ... and yes, from time to time, if there's really no other way around it, some SMS and occasional phone call.
As speed of internet in India speeds up, and proliferation of smartphones to all classes of society increases, I am pretty confident same thing will happen there.
Zombie generation... you see 100 people. 0 talk to each other. All staring at the little screen in front of them.
And Asus (especially Zenfone 4 with its ridiculously low price) will be a pretty heavy contributor to this :)
