I just bought this phone yesterday and I love it. I just noticed one thing, it heats up and smells like burnt plastic. Is it normal?

Awesome phone at this price range better than other company's like samsung,sony,nokia Better value for money design is super slim & slik HD Display,GUI smoothness by asus ZENUI services speed is fast one drawback is batter computption that will overcome by settings overall phone is goog

its awesome phone at dis as its all specifications are good enough except d battery n its design r not up to d mark n overall its a good phone with in a range of Rs.10,000 comparing to odr brands like samsung,nokia n motorola etc....

In regards to battery issues. ASUS cannot do anything about it now since this is a hardware issue. The software updates can only make some enhancements but wont make a gradual change nonetheless.
Im hoping the battery issue wont be present on the zenfone 2. I am waiting ASUS on this monster and pls dont disappoint us.
There was a forum i have read and the person writing the article on battery apps greatly emphasized that the one that can save the battery is simply the USER themselves. It was also stressed that there are some apps like battery doctor and cm cleaners who doesnt help that much and so will only consume more battery. It was advised to use small apps which shutsdown running apps on the background. Either you will use greenify or shutapp to handle shutting down. You may also use cache cleaner apps but not recommended to keep on cleaning your ram like cm is doing.
Well i dont use battery doctor and cm on all my phones because i know android will handle those tasks. But im using shutapp at the moment. Hehe

LOL... yes it is annoying sometimes when you are on darker areas and can hit the correct button since it is.not lit... but as of.now, i dont have issues with it. I can now hit it just right. But yeah i agree that it is annoying at times

Hi... the comment below was for you. Yeah, if you are low on your budget, then settle for this or get the latest kata phone. Asus phones get updates on playstore and so updated.

There wad an issue with mx players not working audio on AC3 files but this can be corrected by downloading the codecs in xda developers. I just did and now playing all videos without hassles

I would like to thank you for your comment. Though i wouldnt say that you buy the phone, but when i was planning on buying this, i know i would be happy. And it didnt disappoint me. I have 6 officemates who bought the phone and traded their iphone 4S to get this unit. No kidding guys, my mom, girlfriend, nephews and nieces,uncles and aunties, they are all amazed at how not so costly phone can be this good. And some of them switched on this. So your budget is less than $200, then better settle on this phone, or buy the latest kata phone.

Im using the phone all day long and the only place which im having poor to no reception is in the elevator or on the lower basement which is 2 storey below the ground
