I am using Asus zenfone 5 for the past 3 days, it looks great in hand. I personally feel, overall quality of the phone should be improved to compete with samsung.
Things you can expect:- very good display, speed etc.. QUALITY :(
Datacable dint fit the port in the mobile properly.
the speaker filter is very bad quality.
Touch was great but it is not working properly. it will take it to service center to correct it.
If you would like to buy a Quality phones Asus not for you!! but you compromise then there is no phone which is equal to this...
camera is better still room for improvement in the camera register chip... Good for day light photography. if you understand the phones camera options well you can create magic....
IF ASUS would have stuffed the camera with larger chip, you will not think of buying other device.
Great UI and easy navigation and ASUS have provided easy mode which looks great
Call quality is superb no problem and not faced any issues with signal.
The device has got the good sound stuffed into the device but the headset they provided could have been a better like HTC and tangle free.. still not a disappointing headset.
For music lovers you should get a good headset and for music details.
Battery expect a days or below.

There are no need for apps. Just follow some basics and you should be fine. I am testing the battery on my new zenfone 5 and My current battery is at 35% 26 hrs of run time out of which 3 hours is screen time at 50% brightness. 20 hours wifi and on 2g and a casual user not gamer.
- make sure u have good signal network the less network bars the more battery consumption
- display brightness increase only when u need it
- wifi scanning keep it off.
- keep proper recharge cycles charge when it is getting around 20% and charge to 100%. dont keep charging and removing halfway unless in emergency.
- uninstall useless apps and disable syncing. turn of location services and autoupdates.
- selecting between 2g/3g is ur choice keep 2g if u r using only watsapp and general stuff. 3g will consume more battery.
LEt me know if these settings helped.

I found that one side of headphone is not working within 15 days of purchase & initial use. And being a very few no. of service centres it's tough to be served for any such product or accessories. And due to heat rejection from periphery of camera no one can use this mobile by putting it on bed coz it will be overheated.

Jana, 02 Feb 2015is Battery calibration app for only root device?I've tride battery calibrator and i thing that there is a diferens in a good way. Charging time is 20min less and i belive that there is some improovment. I'll post more in a few days.
