AnonD-278889, 11 Jan 2015Looks like you have knowledge about Zenfone so plz help me .How to improve my battery life it ... moreI'm also new to Zenfone 5. Using this phone for 2 weeks only :) This might help. Fully discharge your phone. loop a video or play games until the phone turn off, then charge it while off. After that when battery level is at 50%. charge it for 2minutes, for some reason it will last longer between charge. Also Go to settings > power management > power saver > Set to Ultra-saving mode. disabled auto sync, apps auto update. I don't use Facebook,Wechat,WhatsApp,Line. Etc... These apps run in background causing battery drain. Lastly check settings > battery. See what is draining the battery. Uninstall or disabled it.
Poor camera, poor video quality. Low light photos and videos so so poor!

Using this phone for a week. Mine is ASUS_T00J model with 2GB RAM,16GB ROM,1.6GHZ. So far there is no lag ui. Battery life can last for 23.45hour stand by, 6hour with web browsing on wifi, 3.5~4hour on HSPA+ network, it heat up when gaming, low volume on speaker, both sim slot support 3g sim but only one sim is 3g active at one time, after kitkat update you must reset your phone. after reset go to play store update all asus zen UI apps. No force close issues after that. Also use ultra savings mode to save you battery life. :-)

aravind krishnan, 09 Nov 2014stupid battery lasting only 2.5hThe asus zenfone 5 has less battery life compared to any smart phones. The idea of using intel chipsets in smartphones consumes lots of battery what mediatek processors doesnt... i am much worried that i had wasted a lump of money to get a volatile loser of battery within 2.5 hours. Asus been worlds best motherboard manufacturers can resolve this issue to make them stand in smartphone world...asus guys can u hear us...
