I bought this phone (ASUS ZENFONE 5 A501CG) a week from now and I would say that the performance is good but one thing is the battery consumption. If I'm going to use a mobile data or even Wifi it last for only 4 hours so I tried to root my phone and decided to underclocked it using "SetCPU for root users" from 1600 mhz to 1333 mhz of maximum with a minimum of 800 mhz CPU frequency. Now! I could say the battery is more better than before and it takes 8-9 hours when I'm using a Wifi or mobile data and also it prevent overheating when browsing internet. hehehe Love it.

AnonD-288093, 30 Dec 2014latest update available for Zenfone 5 is Version V18.104.22.168(WW) But 2.21 For WW SKU was there in FOTA once while i was checking for system update. But it is not showing now
I have been a month with the smartphone ( the 16gb version and 2GB of ram) and I can assure that the performance of this phone is awesome. I still have not been caught me even once . Something that has not happened with my previous smartphones ( bq Aquaris 5HD and Xperia S ) . Its Intel processor was pleasantly surprised , and I would want not imagine how it would be if the terminal has 4 cores . I have a lot of applications , which makes us lose score in these applications and still have some 22,000 , losing about 1000 points since I put it first . It remains to optimize a bit OS . Hopefully Lollipop improve to make important points to this terminal , and this great brand :)

Hi! I bought this phone last week, after 3 months of reading all the reviews about this phone... I've decided to buy it mainly because of it's specs and i'll tell you, it's all worth it and the cons about the battery are negligible they just exaggerate it...it is beauty and performance rolled into one!!!!
