I bought it in august,, now it is creating issues. first of all its screen get locked without locking, secondly it does not shows sim card slots. Thidly its battery drains very fast.
Can anybody suggest me needful.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2014my asus zenfone 5 is ok until it suddenly automatically off by itself every after 3 min help p... morethe android 4.3 make the phone to restart every few minutes, upgrade to 4.4 and it will work fine.

i have the zenfone 5 from the day it was launched in the philippines. my previous phone was a galaxy note 2 and was happy with it. it was stolen so i have to buy another android phone and this phone came to my mind first.
the issues i have is the battery life. i have tried all sorts of ways to resolve it but to no avail unless you have to root your phone.
also when playing games, the phone takes longer to load the game but once it is loaded, the good thing is it wont lag or hang.
so far those are the issues i encountered

Worst phone always displays unfortunately msg on screen and suddenly restarts automatically just i purchased mobile in november. Am asking asus company dont foolish people like this mobile

Hi friends i am raj, i bye zenfone 5 16gb and 2 gb ram,,,, this is mind blowing handset, on under 13000.
this is proces is very good, this procesor parfarmence failed octa core,Not hang for set, ,i bye and happy,,,,,

Hi guys mine too have same problem but i dnt think so that is only skype have a problem that drained fast. I have sent a message to asus developer and reply that issue but he send me again with a logretriever that can analys the system and screenshot the bug. Just go to the My asusUI feedback.

Regarding the battery drain and overheating issue on upgrading to 4.4.2 kitkat:
Apparently it's a google issue:

Try uninstalling skype as the post says (until google fixes the issue).
Please report here if this works for you. Will help me decide whether to buy or not :) !

Why can't my Asus Zenfone 5 recognize Chinese characters in my SMS inbox? The text are garbled. However, I am able to type and send messages in Chinese characters with no problem.
